I wish these two gentlemen, the historians of the Tamil Cinema, must provide quantitative data as to why or how "Ithu oru vatraatha jeevanadhi" (a perennial river that never dries up)? For example, can you provide data for the past 50 years how much of Total Revenue it made year after year? How much NET Profit it gave to the Producers/Distributors/Exhibitors? After 1992, India as a whole made a leap in Consumer Economics, thanks to the Reform that Dr. Manmohan Singh brought about, which created so much wealth & prosperity in India comparing to pre-1992 years. Gentlemen, people need to see hard data! Not just "wishful thinking" nowadays!
