I blind bought a jar of Tabac a few years back and wasn't too sure about the scent when I first tried it. But I love the performance and over time the scent has grown on me to the point I use it weekly.

Tabac, MWF, and ARKO were all love on first use for me. I hoard these soaps, and I am a fan of the hard pucks and shave sticks.

I am digging this classic soap series. I feel like we get so wrapped up in the next best base that comes out every year from a different artisan. These soaps have been around for so long with bases that are more than adequate. I can only use the tabac scent in the winter, when it is hot I just can’t handle it. Stay safe

Hey! I used my Tabac puck today for the first time in a while :) Zenith has to be my favorite boar brand out of them all. and Red Tip is probably my favorite American vintage TTO! Nice choices all around :)

Many have stated they tweaked the scent in the new formulation. Many have also said the new scent is better too, maybe that's why it's not as bad a scent as you remembered :D

Great shave, Jon. Glad you revisited this scent and found it to be not as bad as you remember. I do enjoy boar brushes, but I only have Omega, I really want to give Zenith a try, but would want one with more loft. I just acquired a Turn N Shave Shoat knot from Milton, and excited to break it in. Have a great day! 👊😁

Thanks Johan! Does the scent of the Tabac aftershave match the soap? There’s a trend of European soaps and splashes having slightly different but complimentary scents.

Nice video Jon! Tabac is my favorite shave soap. It’s worth noting that the new formula no longer has Tallow in it. Also, some folks feel the new formula has a less “intense” scent compared to the original.

Thanks for the info on the new formulation! If it is in fact less intense in scent, that might be playing a big factor in me liking the scent more this go around! Also sad to hear the tallow got removed, but I found it performed fine.

I find Tabac shaving stick to be a good deal superior to any of the Proraso products.
