Thumbs up for not faking anything and fighting to speak while being stunt by Tabasco. I also was like seeing myself, having pain but keep eating got peppers and still enjoy. This video is what it looks like.

I’ve grown Tabasco peppers for many years and they are no joke! I’ll bet your plant gives you more than you can handle, very productive!

My buddy gave me some fresh Tabasco peppers so I wolfed one down . I can drink a shot of Tabasco sauce no problem so I was confident. That single pepper kicked my ass. Not extreme like a scorpion pepper but it was just rough.

@Zak-tp6yq Tabasco sauce is diluted by a metric crap ton of vinegar and is also fermented

I think this years batch made it in the mail better because I harvested them juuuust before fully ripe. They definitely don’t last long after harvest! Also, as a first year grower I ate one of these in the garden on a whim thinking, “Tabasco sauce is weak so it should be no problem!” I am a bit traumatized from the experience, as you have found it - it’s hot!

Pop one with a bite of cheddar cheese or a bite of a ham sandwich. I grow them every year and always keep one in the house over the winter. The best flavor of all peppers. Love them. Great video

I resonate with this. For some reason the Buena Mulata pepper destroys me while high shu peppers do not (sometimes). It’s so weird.

Nice job with this review man. I actually grew some of those from seeds of a Tabasco pepper I picked at the Tabasco factory. Very versatile hot pepper. 👍🏻

Love those things! Makes you wonder what they tasted like before the breeding programs to make the Green Leaf lines! Perfect amount of heat too. I bet that pepper sauce is gonna be good.

Wow, unexpected! Didn’t think they would hit you so hard, since the Tabasco sauce is not spicy at all. Interesting, thanks!

Yes, but check the documentaries. They say the ‘mash’ is 20x hotter.

Hahaha! It's such an unassuming pepper. Love me some of those Tabascos! Takes a TON to make sauce with though. I've got 4 plants going this year, so I might get enough to make a nice batch.

I just ate one whole from my garden that ripened faster than the others. The juice shot straight to my throat and i was dying for about 15 minutes. Way hotter than i expected

I love these so much. I had one also from a big box store, sadly it got plagued with Mosaic Virus before I could taste one. I do however, have seeds (if I can find them) and have tried Grove Peppers which are essentially the same as these. I think the only difference is the plant is a Florida ecotype and just does really well in our heat. They grow in our orange groves and when you research them it basically just tells you it’s a Tabasco. They’re firm from the amount of water content and the ones I have had were seedy but not as bad as cayenne and it had no effect with bitterness. They got me started on my pepper growing journey and will always be one of my favorites. Gotta remember, big box stores have the most popular peppers because they’re popular for a reason!! 😋

Tabasco pepper have a distinct burn unique to them. Can catch you off guard. Very juicy and great flavor. The famous sauce does the great pepper no justice.

With peppers it seems like those tiny hot ones are the hottest. I was at a small microbrewery and this woman got an ornamental pepper as a gift. She tried a pepper and she was tearing up. I warned her. I tried it and man it was hot. I am growing these this year. I hope they work out!

I grew this plant for the first time this year. I don’t think Tabasco sauce is that hot so the first one I ate whole. Lit me up! My reaction was muuuch worse that pepper rangers. Wasn’t pretty.

Haha you're not a wimp 😄Feels like some peppers just burn more than their SHU. Take Habanero as an example. I think peppers like Tabasco and Cayenne have the same "effect" (for me at least).

Ate an Aji Amarillo Peruano today not knowing how hot those are, (same scoville range as Tabasco), it had the same effect on me.

I like the Tabasco pepper, but I find the frutescens species long to produce in our cold climate. You should try the Cabai Burung Ungu, it's also a nice frutescens to grow.

So, if I don't like burn-my-mouth chili, it would be good to only put a couple of these in with more mild peppers, eh?

Great review and my experience with my tabascos as well! I wanted to snack on them more, but they were just a little too intense for me. What is this pepper vinegar you talk about? Will it be shared one of these days?

I do not agree that wimpiness is a factor in hot foods. You did not create your taste buds, right?
