German style meatballs with Turkish bread makes sense to me, as one of the largest groups of immigrants to Germany is Turkish. Guten Appetit! :) Usually, they serve potatoes, mashed or in any other form, with those meatballs here in Germany.

Inside they look really like german meatballs, very nice. The purple salad should be lollo rosso.

(Lately) For breakfast: either steamed arugula or dandelion greens with mushrooms, garlic and mustard. Lunch: spring rolls of kale, lettuce, tofu, carrot or veggie burger made of mushroom, lentils, walnuts, and some seasonings. Sometimes if I have sprouts, I have them in my spring rolls. I like smashed avocado, garlic, salt. with my spring rolls. Sometimes I have red lentil soup with woodear mushrooms. Snack: apple. Skip super. --- - - - - - And if I don't eat with you guys, I feel cheated. Love you guys.

How nice to see what you eat on a non-filming day! It's kind of you to share with us. The lunch at TorToratei looked so great. I'm so glad you have such a wonderful and creative restaurant in your neighborhood. I love rotkraut, the red cabbage side dish that Shinich had. It is so good. Of course, the ichigo daifuku mochi caught my attention. That looked positively delicious! I'm so glad you had a treat in the afternoon. Yes, you had it right - the purple thing was purple curly kale, and the green thing which looked like it was green curly kale. I'm so glad you had such a great dinner. I used to used Cookpad. It's a great site. I'm glad they have food delivery now. That sounds so helpful. Hugs to you both!

Waking up: Earl grey tea with a little honey and lemon. Breakfast: 3 slices of sourdough bread. Smoked meat with tomato, Mackerel in tomato-souce with a little Mayo on top, and the last one is usually a cheese-variant. Lunch: A soup. Could be: Tomato, asparagus, broccoli or maybe a gulasch. Supper: It could be anything. But what I had the other evening was: Mashed potatoes (with cream freiche and butter, white pepper, salt and minced fresh parsley) , bacon wrapped asparagus and steamed broccoli.

Butter goes with bread because it makes bread better. Not just dry bread, any bread. Fresh, soft, hot bread with butter melting into it is delicious! Toast with butter and Vegemite is amazing (think of the rich creaminess of the butter mixing with the saltiness of the Vegemite... aa!). Dairy products seem to be very expensive in Japan especially cheese, but not having butter on bread or muffins? You don't need a lot of butter to make something very plain, special (5g per bread slice). Please try at least once. And Satoshi, try the butter and Vegemite!

If there's one thing you two have taught me is, you can eat anything you want at any time of the day. In America, we have so much tradition that it seems "weird" if we eat things that aren't considered "normal" at certain times of the day. For instance, breakfast should be cereal, or eggs, bagels with cream cheese, potatoes, and so on. I hope I am making sense with what I am writing. lol

I know cookpad often look up recipes but I didn't know they had the mart where you can order foods. We have something similar in the Netherlands. There are many different food boxes, usually you have to subscribe and you get a box once a week which has between 3 to 5 meals in it. But they are so expensive so I only did a try out once. I usually don't have breakfast as well, just a latté or two. But my daughter always eats breakfast, usually it is either tkg yaki (leftover rice mixed with chopped bacon and egg and baked like pancakes) or a homemade cinnamon roll and I have to prepare her lunch bento on some days. Lunch is usually what is leftover in the house. It can be a sandwich or leftover from the day before. Recently I have been trying out different mug meals in the microwave (with various degrees of success and failure to be honest). For dinner I usually cook Japanese food 3 to 4 times a week. The other days it's the more modern version of Dutch cooking. Here we have a lot of international foods available. You buy a package with the seasoning and you only have to add the fresh ingredients so it is really convenient; it can be a pasta dish or a rice dish from somewhere other then Japan, but also sometimes hotdogs or french fries and snacks. Typical meal of cooked vegetables, meat and potatoes is not often eaten in my household, but is still very common in the Netherlands. I had the kebab when I was a Totoratei and it was so tender and delicious!! And the owner is indeed so nice. He gave my daughter Saya an extra bowl of soup because she liked it so much (the potato potage). I'll definitely go back again when I'm in Tokyo.

Olwena Wong I just started watching their videos haven’t seen Justin yet but I bet he’s a cute dog I like that as a dog name. Better than I do on humans I think it’s cuter on dogs than humans is what I’m saying lol just maybe so cute name.

I would love to eat the salad without meat 😍 There are many vegetables which I haven't seen in Germany yet 🤔 If you have some time left some day (haha, I know...) would it be possible to find out which vegetables were in the set? Especially the first 2 or 3 that Satoshi cut in the video. They remind me a little bit of a video on his channel where he shows how he grows some greens, harvests and eats them ❤ I also love the guys from the restaurant ❤❤❤ they are so creative! That mixture of Japanese and German dish looked very interesting and it's pretty authentic that the red cabbage was sweet. I hope you two will have a little more freetime than your afternoon tea in future. In your videos you always show the wonderful side of life and I tend to forget how much effort there is behind the scenes.

@13:13 Satoshi cuts mizuna, then ruby streaks, some purple and green kale, @14:48 a single stem of yellow swiss chard, the rest look like a mix of more mustard greens, and a lonely radish. BTW, you can eat the radish leaves. They're just not that pleasant raw.
