Hubby and I love okonomiyaki, and we enjoy Japanese pronunciation of the word, which always sounds to our ear like it has really strong feelings behind it. You probably know that a native English speaker lilts it 'Oh-KO-no mi-YA-ki' with a drop in the voice on that last syllable. I do notice that sometimes Shinichi lilts certain Japanese words in an English-y way, when they're in the middle of a sentence in English. I love that. Sometimes we have a go at the Japanese way of saying okonomiyaki. :) I wonder how many times we replayed Satoshi saying 'okonomiyaki' in that flat, fast, staccato Japanese accent! Fab. :)

It’s amazing how Instant food in Japan looks, and how delicious it can taste, right down to the large slices of meat in the okonomiyaki. My gosh! Ooooh, and I love Otafuku sauce! I have a bottle in my fridge as we speak! As I watch all of your videos, my mind starts 🤔.......as to how many suitcases I would need one day.....
