When Communication Goes Wrong | Fridays with Tab and Chance

I hope you all are ready for this one! On this episode we are very open and discuss an on going issue we have had in our communication. We give an example of a recent trip we planned. One of us moved forward with planning and booking the trip and one of us thought it was still up for discussion or in the talking stage. This turned into a whole trial. Who was right? Who was wrong? Let get into it!

Real Talk. This Friday’s with Tab and Chance is a little different, but all the same, I thoroughly enjoyed it. I can’t say enough good things fast enough. Chance, you stated you wanted a clear line drawn in the sand kind of explanation, and Tab served you one better with the acknowledgment that she’ll try to make decisions, choices, conclusions, etc. crystal clear. You humored the mess out of me when you called her attempt at better being heard a threat to you. You were wrong, my man, but it’s the cute, airy, light, playful way that you tease one another that makes these moments so special. My sister who also has the gift of prophecy, has told me on numerous occasions, if we haven't talked (in the natural), we have definitely talked in the spirit. Thanks for the full act out of a couple having a misunderstanding. There’s lessons in here about effective communication and conflict resolution. I think both things are true. Tab thought that the planning was concluded and Chance felt it was still open. It’s all perspective. Nobody’s wrong. Nobody’s right.

This is why therapy is a great tool and resource. To have someone who can objectively and without bias reflect back what is happening when two people are having very different joint experiences can be game changing and beneficial. There's a new book Super Communicators: I've been listening to the author give interviews, and the material was so insightful and useful.
