Let's talk about the importance of self-care. From going to the doctor to taking the time to take a bath or get a manicure and pedicure, why don't more men take the time to do these things? We talked about our experience and called in some friends to get their opinions. Let's get into it!

Rev Run, from Run DMC, used to end every episode of Run’s House with some words of wisdom, while sitting in a bubble bath. Fellas may need to try a good bath every now and then. ✌🏾❤️

I’m a man from the south and when I was younger my dad and my great grandmother didn’t have showers so I fell in love with baths early. Now I definitely have a shower but stilI love baths with candles, Palo Santo, candles, and smooth jazz in the dark. Quick tip take that formula and do it for your wife with a really good hot tea and thank me later.

How ironic, I just oiled and massaged my scalp with Donna's recipe and brushed my hair into puff balls like yours, Tab. Then, I decided two turn them into braids. To me, self care involves your physical, emotional, mental, spiritual, social and sexual health. It's an important part of self love. Committing to unconditional self love is powerful. Btw. I'm a woman and I don't do baths lol. I light candles and relax just not in the tub...

I feel like Chance don’t want to say self care = pampering yourself mentally and materialistically. I feel like men only feel good when all the things ‘ Society’ deemed for men important are fulfilled. Shoes, hairline, good job,… But men need to look in deepest depth of their soul and take care of all the things they also ACTUALLY ENJOY and enjoy it. But this takes some soul searching.

My Dad the same way Tab don't be embarrassed. I think men just weren't taught to do so and didn't grow up seeing it. Most learn from the men they grew up with and around. I think many learn from their wives or significant others how to do more grooming, more than a haircut.

As a nail technician I encourage everyone to get a manicure every two weeks and a pedicure... finances permitting every 4 to 6 weeks

Growing up cost was the deterant and then we delt with bleeding fingers and toes from not cutting correctly

I think self care changes as the season of your life changes. I know for me as a wife and mom of 3 all 8 and under focus on the mental part of self care more than anything at this stage. Would I love to be able to do all the cute and time consuming stuff, of course! But I also understand the phase that we are in.

My husband soaks in the tub for more than 30 minutes with Epsom salt every night! I only take showers and he soaks in the tub .

Auntie and Unc (in my head) are hilarious and too cute! I love this and yall so much. To further Chance’s point, Im a female and not a huge bath person either. I love my water hot hot but hate being sweaty while trying to relax. Then to get out of the tub, and have to shower. Nah I’m ok. So I find other ways to self care also.

I used to take baths a lot and I kept dealing with yeast infections. I stopped and so did the yeast infections. I don't know for sure if it was related, but it appeared that way to me.

Thats what I love about being married Like chance said some things are really not a priority for men but is a priority for women and other way around. I feel like If we introduce each others own priority to each other from time to time we as people can have a balance mentally. He can teach you golf and you can run him a bath and do a manicure pedicure from time to time. So that way both sexes can be stimulated both physically and mentally❤️
