Table lifting mechanism for upright drilling machines 1

Turn pink shaft for raising or lowering the table.
The gravity can not move the table down because of the pink worm self-locking.
The table is turnable around the machine post.
Use green screw to fix the table after adjusting.
Blue gear is a helical one that engages with violet rack of oblique teeth.

Maybe a reverse claw could be used for self locking feature... But anyway it is also providing locking in simple manner. Nicely done Mr. Thang

The pink part is a worm shaft. The violet part is a rack. 6 feet rod is too long but I think this mechanism can be used for it.

Thanks for sharing. That's a great design! But I'm not sure if I got something wrong that the worm wheel is not compatible for the rack. That's because the rack uses different type of gear (pinion gear). Please correct me if I got it wrong.

STEP files do not contain assembly and simulation information. STEP assembly files can be opened in SolidWorks but they lack assembly and simulation information. Inventor files can not be opened in SolidWorks.
