I have this laptop 2024 model, and overall, it's a good laptop. However, beware of the OLED touch screen. It has a thin layer of digital touch on top of your OLED screen, which results in a graininess matrix layer. If you don't notice it, that's good for you. But if you are keen about your display, then be warned. They use OLED screen technology such as GF2 or OGM (One Glass Metal Mesh), if you are interested in learning more.

@IceBlueLugia She disclosed that this video was sponsored by Lenovo and Intel, so the laptop is at worst a test/review unit (which she'll need to return to Lenovo), while at best, she'll get to keep it at no cost. Also, she has a relationship with Samsung, so she gets review devices (phones, tablets, laptops, watches) from them as well. At 430K subs, she's that much further along in her KZbin creator journey than Austin was when he started, so revenue streams like other sponsorships, AdSense, affiliate links, etc, likely pay her enough to afford any other devices she wants to review (and/or own) -- without having to make the crappy choice between needing to return reviewed merchandise, or taking on debt.

I've been using a Yoga 920 2-in-1 for a few years now. A few things: Drawing on a 2-in-1 is WAY different than drawing on a dedicated tablet. You think it's going to work for you, until it really doesn't. My version had reliability issues - my sound completely died during the pandemic - the computer was only 2 years old at that point. It still works but the speakers no longer work - kinda sucks since I'm a teacher and like to show my students how-to videos every so often. Lastly - not having a dedicated GPU - SUCKS - seriously. If you don't think you need the pen/drawing feature - just get a laptop with a dedicated GPU. If you do any photoshop/video editing/light gaming - you are going to want a gpu more than the ability to flip the computer around and draw. I think I'm going to get a legion laptop as my next computer.

I just bought one from Lenovo website. One question, how's the fan noise when it is set to high performance mode?
@joaofreitas14389 ай бұрын
I'm wondering if you've already got the laptop. I am mostly interested in the battery life. How does it hold up? Ella doesn't really go into detail, and saying it doesn't match the M2 is not very informative at all. I haven't seen any windows laptop measure up to Apple silicon in terms of battery life
@friendlysurveillancecamera65079 ай бұрын
The fan noise of this laptop is not that bad. You will hear fan noise if you set your laptop to Performance mode, but there is no fan noise in battery saving mode. I have used three modes for web browsing with 20 tabs open and running some virtual machine tasks, and I didn't notice any significant difference in performance across those modes. In short, the battery saving mode is good enough and doesn't produce any fan noise. However, I don't play games.
@friendlysurveillancecamera65079 ай бұрын
I have this laptop, and when I set it to Battery saving mode, I can comfortably get around 8 hours or more of battery life. In the middle mode, the battery lasts around 5 to 6 hours, and in Performance mode, it may last around 4 hours. However, due to my preference to avoid fan noise, I haven't extensively tested the laptop in Performance mode. For my typical tasks, which include browsing, working with Word documents, coding, and running virtual machines, the battery life is sufficient in the lower power modes.

Every laptop has its own pos and cons. When you want to work as a tablet in a rough surface, there is no way to avoid the scratches that would be on the keyboards and in the front panel of this laptop. You always need to carry a cloth or something that can protect it from being scratched.

@@justahugenerd1278 Have you thought about getting even a cheap simple USB-C hub? It could have all those ports and pass through the power giving you just a single USB-C to plug in to the laptop. It's hard to tell how nice it is. The smaller your handwriting the better. My eyes are telling me this AES 2.0 screen&pen isn't the best. It looks like its deviating 2-5 pixels during a jitter.
