Please always put a zero in front of the decimal points. Eliminates a lot of confusion. In school we got docked if we didn't.

Greetings. The answer is 3/10. The given expression can be written as 6/10×10/2×1/10 after inverting 2/10. Now, dividing numerator and denominator by 10 gives 6/2×1/10 which reduces to 3/10.

I just realized that in some cases we could divide fractions instead of multiplying by the second fraction upside down. In this problem we can divide the numerators of 6/10 and 2/10 and the denominators and we get the same result . 6 divided by 2 = 3 while 10 divided by 10 = 1. But if I try to divide 1/2 by 1/4 it gets more complicated with the denominators because I will get another fraction at the bottom of the equation. If I decide to divide the numerators and the denominators instead of flipping the second fraction I would get 1/1/2. To make a long story short I will flip the second fraction and forget about it. ;)

When dividing by fractions, I flip and multiply them. 0.6 = 3/5, 0.2 = 1/5, 0.1 = 1/10 3/5 ÷ 1/5 x 1/10 = 3/5 x 5 x 1/10 = 3/10

This was a tricky one for sure. But if you remembered the rule for multiplying and dividing fractions, you'll go far. Just remember when you divide fractions, you jut take the inverse (reciprocal) of the 2nd part of the problem and multiply. For example what would 7/8÷1/2 be? You'd have to change it to 7/8x2/1 and go from there.

I went to school during the sixties in Sweden. Then we were taught to write .6 as 0, 6 This seems to still apply here. But maybe the norm has changed?

Different countries use different notations. From what I have seen, it is not usual to use a comma where those of us in the USA would use a decimal point. For clarity, I prefer to use a leading zero even though it's not 100% required. By this, I mean 0.6 0.2 and 0.1

In USA they write 0.6 and in Europe they write 0,6.

I don't understand why one would even bother converting to fractions in the beginning. It's so simple to do the math as it's written and convert the answer to a fraction in the end. The method in the video is painfully complicated.

convert them all into fraction to get a clue 6/10 ➗2/10 ✖1/10 then... 6/10 ✖10/2 ✖ 1/10 mix them... 60/200 >>> 3/10 Answer: 3/10

There's an even easier way. I opted to cross cancel 6/10 x 10/2 to get 3/1. Then multiplied that to 3/10 for the answer.
