Another analysis no one really asked for: I think TTJ challenges viewers by introducing a “vibe” into MTG that many folks aren’t used to/have never seen in their fnm. I suspect it turns a lot of people off, but as Magic becomes more popular we have the privilege of broadening what we define as the “mtg vibe”, and that can include people who challenge the previously stagnant magic nerd stereotype. Sick as hell honestly.

I know Magic isn't for everyone, but I do believe that if more people would give Commander a try, they'd probably think differently about it. At one time, playing video games was considered only for "nerds" and that perception is completely gone now.

Then we rule 0 and figure out what would be the best decks to play. I try not to play decks I’ve played before unless they have a bunch of significant changes or if I played a deck and it had a bad showing.
