You can field incomplete kill team in narrative and tac ops archetype is of player's choosing. It is not restricted by army. One because some operatives can be slain preventing you from playing. The other probably to make it easier to complete spec ops.

Specs ops rules have a different mission sequence. Each player has to have a dataslate in narrative spec ops games.

I’ve just had a good look and can’t find the answer either. It does mention a limit to 3XP if a casualty test is passed and the battle scar table option 6 says the operative gains no XP, but can’t see anywhere stating when XP is lost other than the rules that mention it on page 99. I’ve looked through the Octarius book and the compendium as well as the core book. Can’t find anything. I wonder if they are leaving in there to take into account future rules/missions?

I believe you skipped over equipment for Narrative Play, and taught the Match Play rules for equipment instead. It says: "In a Spec Ops campaign, your access to this equipment is managed via your stash. When you begin a Spec Ops campaign, there is no equipment in your stash. Instead, you must add equipment to your stash, such as by using the Equipment Drop Requisition." Equipment Drop - "Select up to 5 points worth of your faction’s equipment and add it to your stash." The amount of EPs worth of equipment you can take on that mission, from your stash, is then decided from the bonus EP you gain in Step 7 of the mission sequence, + the standard 10EP you are given in Step 9.

The words and phrases they use are sometimes very annoying. For example, you don't earn 4 requisition points for making a data slate. You start the narrative campaign with 4 requisition points.

13 parts…. WHY WHYYYY SO COMPLICATED… I love these boxes, have a load of them but play very rarely. Wich I regret deeply But it gives me headaches! Like all games of GW… 😢 Am I the only one with these difficulties or WHAT!? Djeeezzzz 😅

Kill Team is very much a tournament ruleset with precise wordy descriptions. I share your pain 🤣 I'm really enjoying Necromunda at the moment, It's a nightmare to get started with (hopefully not anymore thanks to the new core book) but when playing, the mechanics flow nicely and are simpler. Much more narrative based too which I like a lot.
