I kind of suspect that limited access to heavy/long range weaponry will be a built-in weakness of this army to compensate for their strengths, so I suspect we won't see it, but who knows...

Psychic Dread for TS, Plague Dread for DG, Berserker Dread for WE, and Sonic Dread for EC. They're all such obvious slam dunks that it's incredible GW hasn't jumped on them yet. Maybe now that all the cult Legions are available, they'll start working on real second waves for each that will include those kits. God knows TS and WE could use them.

I've played EC since the 90's. Love them. I just hope we still have access to Helbrutes and Sonic Dreds at some point. LOVE the Flawless Blades to have Palatine Blades in 40k. Everyone forgets how fantastic EC are in combat.

If they do a se Paladins 3 man box. Terminatours updated, normal power armour updated kit to upscale them. Purefirers 3 man elite unit. 2 Terminatour characters. Wold be 7 boxes. But all can dream what models get updated.and sadly fear what get removed

I feel like the daemons are in the EC codex is hopefully because GW have finally listened and reduced the need for multiple books when running mixed armies like chaos, ynnari etc

ironically it reduced the book load for people running only 1 god's army but makes the people who like undivided have to buy a ton of books now lol. Unless Daemons undivided get to stay as a separate free index which I wouldn't mind.

If they do fold the daemons into their corresponding legion books, what happens to Undivided? Where does Be'lakor go? Also this EC release is a bit limited on the number of models, but after how limited the World Eaters book was I am not surprised. By comparison, Death Guard received 18 new units for 8th edition, but Thousand Sons received only received 6 at the end of 7th.

Salamanders seems an odd choice to anyone who's settled into the hobby, but from a marketing perspective, it makes a lot of sense. They're the "good guys" in a way, and are very kid-friendly and are an identifiable chapter to root for as an alternative to the UM if you aren't into the blue romans thing. This may have been foreshadowed in all the animations recently.

Same here, the garbage approach and terribley written rules put me completely off 10th. The quality of gameplay has been going downhill since 8th came out. Models are gorgeous, but the rules are garbage 😂

New models were nice, I'm ok with daemons but it does feel like they padded a very small release. All monogod marines deserve special terminators, dreadnought, a daemon engine and cultist. I'd also love a Havoc equivalent for each. This would go such a long way. The EC reveals make me think there is nothing but a character for all the codexes. Still, there are some interesting demon combos; Primarch and 3 Greater Daemon lists will be everywhere unless they limit that build. Each of these factions is judged by the roster of the other. Rounding them all out would just get rid of a lot of fomo for the players of them all. Man, with the daemons merge, I bet World Eeaters will never get Bezerkers on Juggernauts thanks to Bloodcrushers...

There's no way there doing a daemon codex, I think. Why release all 4 chaos God specific legions if they are going to release one. At least this way, daemon players won't have long between the 1st & last book that their specific daemons can be played. Maybe they'll release a pdf for like a slaves to darkness for generic csm & mixed daemons, but I don't think they'll get their own book anymore. That's my thoughts, anyway. Love the EC minis, though very, very tempting lol.

Hate to point it out to Beard after he showcased his incredible Defiler but they left defiler out of the EC lineup when mentioning daemon engines they could utilize. Also if daemons all get split into God specific codexes, where do the Soul Grinders go? I think the big crab daemons are getting axed and I'm heartbroken. I run 3 defiler in Iron Warriors and 3 Soul Grinders in daemons 🥺

I find it concerning that we got lots of guard previews pre release, now we got lots of EC previews. Other than the new models they have done nothing to hype the Eldar codex in between. Does that mean we get the "B" team and a very plain codex? Will it be the grotmas detachment all over again. I hope not. I want something flavorful and playable. Right now we don't have a niche to fill short of punching bags.

Eldar arent an entirely new codex/army being added though, plus they did do a presentation going through all the new eldar models. I wouldnt worry aeldari always get preferential treatment rules wise...

Huge problem for anyone without daemons. Half your army is slannessh daemons and zero in the CP or battleforce. No way to get them but individual sets. Imagine having to buy an entire slaneesh army along with CSM units and these to actually have the full codex.
