So there’s a new dirty combo: hellblasters + impulser = free overcharge on plasma, as hellblater’s weapon while inside impulser is counting as impulser’s weapons so the models don’t die and impulser just gets some damage

not sure if it was played correctly or not but you only don't get plus 1 to armour saves for 3+ saves or better in terrain vs ap0, you get it vs everything else

Yeah the wording for barbgaunts is subtract 2" from move and from advance and charge. So you most definitely do lose 2" from move and 2" when you advance.

You guys were 100% wrong about that last terminator advance. The barb gaunts ability states -2" to move characteristic and -2" from advance and charge rolls (so -4" in total to any advance moves)

It's a very random rule they added in the core rules. If a unit is on the 3rd+ floor and shooting a unit on the ground they get +1AP.

Why is the benefit of cover so weird? It helps 2+, but doesn't apply to 3+ saves?

No, the rules is that 3+ or better cannot benefit from cover when the attack is AP0. So still helps against attacks with any AP. Think of it like a save of 3+ cannot go to 2+ from cover.

They already know the points. John slipped up early on and mentioned that a squad of 20 termagants are 120 points. So they’ve dropped 1 point each from 9th.

@@nicolasescobar4184 I don't think that matters so much this edition. They are two datasheets, so you can still grab 6. They mostly where there so you have synapse in the troop slots. But without force organizatiin charts it should matter less. Although having synapse is as always crusial. You can ad the new prime to gargoyles if that helps.

I feel you. Perhaps saying they suck is a bit of a knee jerk reaction right now though. I can say this though : All of the forums and discords I'm in have almost no complaints about the SM index. The only complaints I see are " this unit I own is missing from the index" I have yet to see a single person complain about the power level of the space marines. I like to think it's because They are aware that they look amazing compared to the other index (nids) that has come out.

As a Tyranid player since 5th, the reason you here more people complaining about Tyranids being weak, is because historically, nobody whines like us nid players. Even CSM can’t hold a candle to us.

Right now only Marines and Nid datasheets are out. Starting with the next stream on Monday they'll be playing new armies as more indexes are published by GW.
