A deckhand, Noah, on the Pursuit taught me this knot. I haven’t tied anything else for my braid to leader connection.

That’s also Albright or Alberto knot. Only San Diego area people call it the John Collins or RP knot.

john collins knot?.. i learned that knot 15 years ago - Thats the Alberto Knot also known as Albright Knot. There is also an Improved Albright Knot and Alberto.

Thats what I use but an FG would be better than doubling up the thick mono or flouro.
