My first Tacklife tool was an 1800W circular saw. I just bought it for a backup, secondary tool for a certain project we needed. Funny thing is i still use it kinda more often than i expected, because somehow i found it more comfortable than my "yellow" one. I would only change the base plate but i could not find yet replacement alloy/cast plate.

The video was done well. You explained the features of the tool clearly. I don't need a laser measure frequently, but, at just over $30, I might add one to my tool bag. Tacklife has some other models of laser measure and digital voltmeters.

After reading great reviews and getting frustrated using measuring tapes, and getting different numbers I purchased the HD 60 from Amazon for my kitchen remodel. I turned to your KZbin site after puzzling over a few of the features. My kitchen designer refuses to use laser tools to measure because she has experienced problems with accuracy. I have a feeling that she was not using her laser properly and failed to calibrate her device. I'm a triple checker, especially with a new tool. I agree that the user manual that came with this tool, besides the tiny print ,was difficult to follow. I prefer hands on and visual explanations for things to gel. This was very useful and just what I needed to get comfortable to start using it for my projects. Thank you so much.

Well done sir. I’m really impressed with how you captured all the main features of this laser measuring device. I’m sold😊

I'm just getting started with doing floorplans and had bought the Tacklife HD60 which looks very similar to the hd40.. I honestly doubt I'd need any more than the HD40 but Im sure the HD60 will serve me just fine with what I do

Great review David. I bought it right away through your link. I’ve always wanted one but never purchased because of price point. This solved that problem for me. Thank you. The power of advertising!

Can it do pythagoras 3 point horizontal? That would be the most important function for me.
@DPShopTalk
@DPShopTalk 5 жыл бұрын
It does have a Pythagorean mode. I'm not sure if it does exactly what you're asking about though.
@mrmachiner2648

@@DPShopTalk I'm asking if it is pythagorean mode in both horizontal and vertical directions, as it only shows pythagoras vertical in any videos that I have seen.
@DPShopTalk
@DPShopTalk 5 жыл бұрын
Oh ok. I'm not sure to be honest, that's not a mode that I've ever needed to use. If I think of it next time I'm using it I'll check and let you know.

does the HD60 really do 20 meters more or just more money?

Thanks so much for the videos you have done. I have learned so much. I have a non woodworking question for you. What is the track you use for introduction music for your videos? I have looked in the information section but it is never mentioned. Thanks for the reply.

nice review Dan.. I wonder if this could also be used as a laser level?
@DPShopTalk
@DPShopTalk 4 жыл бұрын
You might be able to do really rough work with it as a laser level but it wouldn't be very accurate. The little built in bubble level is more of a rough guide for shooting close to level but I wouldn't really trust it for setting things level.

I bought this laser tape based on many reviews like yours but I am very disappointed that no one has been able to show how to calibrate it and yet everyone gave five star reviews, both in Amazon and youtube. This laser tape works great but I could not calibrate. Instruction manual is poorly written. I would appreciate if you can show how to calibrate it or if not please mention that in your review so that people like me won't go and buy it. It works great for now but what to do when I need to calibrate?
@DPShopTalk
@DPShopTalk 7 жыл бұрын
+Yuvak Tuladhar I would have shown how to calibrate the unit but didn't in the interest of time. I can't remember the process off the top of my head to get to calibration mode but I just followed what the instructions say and it worked fine for me. If there was enough interest in a functions tutorial I could make a video showing how to use each function.

Hi I had the same problem, so I have contacted Tacklife and here is how you can calibrate it: In the shutdown state long press the unit button, press the meas button at the same time, after starting the release of meas, but do not release the unit until the screen displays "CAL", then enter the calibration phase. "+" And "-" to adjust the calibration range, the calibration range is -9mm to 9mm, long press unit after calibration to save the calibration result. Good luck, It work well for me.

The belt pouch is useful if you want to carry it on your belt... Nice review though, 1/16 inch is good. Cheers

+Ted Rees you just set it plus or minus the number of millimeters that you want to adjust it by. I haven't had to adjust mine since it's always been accurate.

I asked Tacklife, and they replied. the store key is also a - key for calibration. Otherwise the manual is ok. Problem solved.

OK, you can adjust + or - 1 mm. But 1mm out of what distance? Manual only says you can calibrate but doesn't say how to do it.
@DPShopTalk
@DPShopTalk 5 жыл бұрын
That just brings it into calibration if it is out a little bit. Say its reading 1mm short consistently then you can adjust it +1mm so that it reads true. I've never needed to do that though with mine.
