Thank you just bought one and have been avoiding it cause it looked like I was going to have to spend a bunch of time figuring out how to use it since the instructions print was so small I couldn't read it. 🤦‍♀️ Now I only spent 10 minutes and I got it no problem. 😁

Good video, on the tape measure it will usually give a number of inches between the front and back, 3" typically. The end of the tape actually moves back and forth the thickness of hook, which will give you accurate measurements hooking or pushing. The laser is still faster.

Hi, Great review. Can you see the laser dot when the item to be measured is tens of meters away in bright sunlight?

I want to use such a device with a plastic corner-cube reflector plate, which reflects THOUSANDS as much back in the direction of the emitter than a white paper-like surface. (See Lambertian reflector.) I want to measure 500, 1000, 2000 meters, with a resolution of 1 millimeter . Problem is, I don't think the device will 'wait for' such a delayed reflection, even when it arrives with plenty of intensity. And, of course, the display also doesnt have sufficient digits to display this. Perhaps these manufacturers don't want to compete with professional distance measuring equipment?

Do you find it to be accurate ? You said the wall was 92” when you double check with the tape measure is it the 92”?

No wonder you like it so much. You don’t know how to use a tape measure. It’s all good man, just one tip though. The hook that moves back and fourth at the end of your tape measure. Any measurement is compensated you don’t need to add or subtract from actual measurement. Also note the reason it wiggles back and fourth is so it’s accurate when a pull is on tape measure or a push
