I did a similar job with my 2009 Hyundai Sonata. Instead of using the old front shock hardware, just get one piece of new hardware from Toyota and pre assembled the new front shock and pop it in on the day of installation.

I seriously want to know. IS THERE A IMPROVEMENT on the ride quality off road compared to the 3rd gen Tacoma TRD OR stock suspension. I want something for temporary use for some occasional off road (not to aggressive) until I can get what I really want ( fox 2.5 with resi.)

Would you recommend adding a 1 in block or an add a leaf to the rear suspension for this specific lift kit?
@GhettoFabulous6703 жыл бұрын
Go with a block if ur gon lift the rear for a inch or 2. If yr going to be hauling some weight or tow a lil here and there. Then go get a aal or leaf pack. 1.5"-2" is more than enough imo

NEVER tighten the lower shock bolt unless the suspension is on the round and loaded. If you do not do this it WILL stress out the lower bushing and cause it to wear prematurely.
@TheJuansanjuan5 жыл бұрын
Would you need an add a leaf pack for the rear? Does this level it? Or will the truck squat just a bit?
@ExtremeTerrainToyota5 жыл бұрын
With this kit installed things will be pretty darn level! If anything, the rear of the truck will be ever so slightly higher than the front. -Zach
@KEVING1TIME5 жыл бұрын
depends on how much weight you are putting in the rear. I have a 2.5 front and 1" block in the rear from Eibach because I've added about 300lbs. but now I am getting a full pack leaf from deaver because I am adding about 600lbs total to the rear. So I should be leveled and more comfy with all that weight. But if you aren't adding any weight to the rear this kit is fine and will level you out to get rid of the rake.
