Tacoma Solid Axle Swap [Part 1]

Saw this video and thought it was a video of how my truck use to look. I had the same wheel setup and almost identical bumper. Looks sick man!

we are working on an 05 at the moment with a Chevy front axle and 4 link all diy made, how do you like the solid front still?

I still like it very much. I hate how long I have had it on the truck and haven't gotten time to do nearly as much wheeling as I want. I'm very happy with the actual axle itself. Looks very nice under there truck and has preformed as expected. Biggest problem I have experienced is slop in the steering due to excess space in the leaf spring bushings and hangers. That should be easy to remedy once I have time.

What axle did you get for the swap?

I used a Rock Assault housing from Trail Gear. It is 5" wider than an earlier mini truck axle, to better match the Tacoma width.

Do you happen to still have you old total chaos upper control arms, if so would you be willing to sell them?
