Tacoma Sticker Removal | 3rd Gen Toyota Tacoma

I removed the decals and it looks fine in the sun but I noticed recently with a flashlight or certain lighting you can see the perfect oultine of the decal. The surface feels perfectly smooth though compared to the rest of the paint. Should I use thinner or will this never go away? I used Goo Gone and a heat gun to remove it originaly. 2 year old truck.

Yeah you can try, or it might just be that your paint faded and the pain under the sticker is pristine, so it looks slightly different

Windex gets rid of the glue just as well, with little risk or exposure to toxic lacquer thinner. Also, use a hair dryer. Way less danger of ruining the paint.

Does the thinner damage the clear at all? Took my decals off have tried everything to remove the adhesive with no success

Its been a while since this video and we haven't seen any issues with the paint or clear coat

@@SnailTrail4x4 ended up using some 3m automotive adhesive remover it. worked like butter. Thanks for the reply

Just use gasoline and then soap and water after to protect the paint. Will take 2 mins a side

I had the hardest time removing the residue, i used goo gone and it did nothing. Ended up getting some plastic razor blades

@@yezkaholic so for the residue i used a heat gun and alchol. It game off after alot of rubbing but before you try that. Id get get 3m goo remover from autozone and im positive that and a microfiber will take it off. Make sure the paints around roof tempature maybe a little hotter

You ain't gotta use all that. I just used a switch blade knife and end of story. Took me 7 minutes.

Makes me wonder when them stickers come off if that removes the clear coat on the paint & using lacquer thinner on paint? that doesnt sound good maybe some goo gone that would be safer then lacquer thinner.

goo gone doesn't get rid of everything. that's what i used and it looks good at first but in the right light you can see the complete complete outline of the decal. this is on a 2 year old truck.
