If you go back by the house that had the three old suit cases- grab the large glass dome. If its older, they go for about $150. Antiques collectors put them over dolls and clocks.

Yup. They're called a glass Cloche. Only if they're antique & hand blown are worth alot. But still a good score to grab.

I like his videos but that is an aggravating aspect. The clock is a good example. If it's a German made Black Forest clock, they can be fixed. You can even order parts online. They are expensive, especially big ones with a lot of complications like that one. Age is another factor, older the better. Unless it is really water damaged or obviously smashed, it would have been a good grab.

In my city, so many pickers began turning up making a huge mess and/or brawling among each other over items. Then the City Council realized a lot of the stuff was worth big money that they could process as in recyclables. Over night they passed laws to make it an offense to collect curbside. Home owners now have to book a certain day when the council is covering your neighbourhood with their trucks and workgang. You can only put out ONE CUBIC METRE OF STUFF which is like one old washing machine and a single seater couch, no car parts etc! Kind of sad because in the past i scored some next old stuff.

In the beginning of this vlog the one street side garbage had a lot of vintage barbie stuff and vintage tins etc. It appeared maybe an elderly person passed and maybe they were emptying the house some. Do you check in books when you see that type of stuff? Many times older people hid money in books and behind paintings etc. and never told others so there could be some in those. People have found such stuff from garage sales etc in past.

Like you I often find antiques and vintage stuff. You think those are barking dogs? I have a reincarnated Rottweiler. She came back as a Chihuahua and boy is she P.O.d about it! The engine in the trash truck sets her off. She'll run to the back door and the gives the guys heck that are taking "Her" trash. Then she's off to the front door to fuss at the truck cuz they park behind my van. She is very territorial and protective of her stuff, her van and her human.
