That empty Chinese-styled cabinet was, at one time a Stromberg-Carson TV...ca. 1953. Being a 75 year-old dude, I remember all the old stuff when it was new!

Hey Taco. i enjoy your video. I can’t believe the good, expensive things people throw away. Thank you for saving some from the dump. I’ve had several pairs of those metal crutches and the rubber arm rests on top can be pulled off so you can replacing them. If they do you won’t have to saw them off. Keep up the good work.

You will probably hate me but when you say your heart is racing I can't help but worry. You need to eat better. Have a Sausage egg/w cheese and pot. for 1.50 at Mc Donalds. Protein than you can have your donut. Ha Ha, none of these things are that good for you but once in a while it's okay. Vegies and fruit are ok. I am mothering you but admire you work ethics.! Hugs

Thank you from all of us 9-5 people that get to watch you do your thing. Some much good stuff gets thrown away. Thanks for saving things from that trash and sharing it with all of us. FYI on the carpet that looked real oriental. You can take that to a rug shop and they will sometimes pay cash as is. My mom got a 100 dollars for a wet rug that got peed on that she trash picked. I just saved one from the trash it cost me 132 dollars to clean ( smelled like cat pee) It's an 800 dollar rug that I'm keeping. As long as it's not machine made they are worth money even damaged.

@alansmith58736 жыл бұрын
you said you would have taken the bench but you didnt have any space for it....well, i've said it before so i will say it again try loading your van properly! ...you sometimes claim that you have a full load ..when it's plainly obvious that there is only half a vanload if properly loaded, you are only making hard work for yourself ....i bet that you are making twice as many trips as your competitor to get the same amount. i admire what you do ..you work hard for your money ...so make it pay more just by tweaking how you do it!

over here in the uk, i put a small advert in the local 'parish' magazines, for unwanted or non working items. the adverts cost about £15 a year to run, but the target are the older people who find it hard to take stuff to the dump or don't put any value to these treasures, or have better value quality items that are repairable , i get probably a dozen pick ups a month from these adds- so well worth it. Its a great job you are doing there, keep the videos coming...

as a vacuum collector, was annyoyed you cut the cord off. could have sold that for $10-$15 at the market. used to junk pick with my mom, she would never cut a cord before she tested it. might get $2-$15 for the appliance vs 3cents for the cord.

Hi Taco, just throwing an idea out there for you, all the baskets you find, large or small as long as they're in pretty good condition, might be an idea to take them to a florists. Those girls like making flower arrangements in baskets and I'm sure they'd give you a couple of bucks for them. Keep up the good work handsome x

Ya I make these trash day videos after working a 12 hour shift and unloading/loading my van a combined 3 times. I wish I could be less sloppy, but my body and mind has about had it by the time I get into the van for garbage picking. In the future I might take a day off just so I can do one great day of garbage picking. Thanks for watching!

Have you tried to sell the crutches before? I sometimes see them go on Facebook groups for $10.
@TacoStacks7 жыл бұрын
Yea, I have taken them to the flea market. The crutches are more difficult to sell than canes. Both were aluminum, people will buy wooden canes but not aluminum ones. people won't buy crutches in either aluminum or wood so they just get junked.
