Got the blackout set of these. I followed your instructions, and it all worked perfectly, and only took 20-30 minutes total to do both! On my set, the driver's side wires were blue and green, so I tested them before closing things up, which was good, because I had to reverse them. The passenger side wires were red and white, so they weren't an issue.

I've seen some instruction and few videos with people removing the mirror or managing to break stuff so I'm a little worried but this video demonstrated the removal of the cover with such an ease making me feel less concerned. I have the turn signals now I need to find time to get it it. I also want to change "paddle" lights once I'm on it "killing two birds with one stone" 👍 Thanx for this video Bro

Great video but I found taking the bottom molding off also made it easier to place the light. It practically comes off anyways. You just have to push in on the clip located door-side of the wiring tube. I'll be as smooth as you and not need to one day 👍

Hey how did you get the bottom cover to clip back on? I accidentally partially removed mine during install and can’t get it to seat nicely.

@@dougadams6861 I also loosened the bottom cover trying to get the light in the groove of the bottom cover the first time. Then I wasted 10-15 minutes trying to get it to reseat without unclipping the bottom cover. I took the piece fully off by using a screwdriver to push in on the clip, located car side of the mirror near wiring tube. Because it fits around the arm of the mirror you have to slide it in a bit. Then I lined it up best I could and pushed in on both sides at the same time. If it isn't lined up flush pop the clip again and try to line it up smoother. That way took 2 minutes. I even popped it off and tried it again to see if it was a fluke. Don't settle for less than flush.

Is it really that easy to remove that outside plastic part by hand? Most of them prying it first. Imma try it this way wish me luck. I have a bad feeling of breaking it already😂

Very helpful video! Any chance you have the old lights you took out for sale possibly? A rock came up and hit my passenger side light and cracked it. I would like it to have the factory look as I might sell but can't find anywhere. I will buy from you if you have one available? Its a 2022 RAV 4 xle prem.

What makes the factory ones amber? Is it an amber bulb, or amber housing? Can the factory one be opened to remove whatever makes it amber?

Only when driving? If so, I would make sure everything was clipped in all the way
