Kyle, the Mantis Claws are too cool, I wonder if you held them with the blades pointing upwards, if they would be more effective since striking downwards would lead the blade toward your own body? I guess the praying mantis, upside down. Awesome demonstration with the nun chucks. My eyes were flickering. I'm in "Blue" New York, I'll have to check on that war hammer, if they don't know what it is, I might get away with it. Great demonstration, another fun Weapons Wednesday, thanks Kyle and thanks to Amanda and the Karate Mart Team.

Thanks for the Weapons Wednesday. I'm in an odd mood tonight, so I'm seeing things differently. You mentioned in another video that you like pineapple. When you started using the Full-Tang Survival Machete, I imagined that this one is now in the KarateMart break room and used to cut up pineapple every day. When I saw the Tactical War Hammer, I had an even stranger thought. I imagined a future where we use cloning techniques to bring back extinct animals. I imagined a chef saying, "By Golly, I am going to tenderize this wooly mammoth steak." The Converta-Chuck would be a good tambourine for a band playing in a bad part of town.

Good video overall. I especially like the machete. however the two blades that you showed at the very beginning while very well made are not very well designed (I'm sorry and maybe I don't know what I'm talking about but this is just my opinion) there is no real way to stab with them in real situation the curvature is simply too big and not pointed towards the target. The forward is a better option however something that fits around your hand in a way it does should have force directed more like a thrust than a slash. the slash by moving your hand in sideways motion would probably bee quite effective and it is definitely a good thing. however you would have a limited range with it and you might as well use a knife that can also thrust and not just cut. I think the quality of the blade is pretty good. Maybe even excellent. But you would probably be better of putting this blade on kama and use it that way than raping it around your knuckles the way it is done here. or simply use this quality blade on a long knife

When people ask me what good is training with swords & the like since no one really fights with swords... Well I say that a stick can bums used with adsoted sword techniques. A squeegee can be used as a war hammer, axe, tomahawk, kama...etc. Many everyday objects are shaped like weapons of old or close to them. So it's simply adapting the techniques one knows to a more common item.
