Come underwater and compare the actions of 10 different jerkbaits! Watch how the lures move and watch as bass devour them in this amazing underwater footage! If you've ever wondered what your favorite jerkbaits look like underwater, this bass fishing video is for you!
In this video we're comparing some of the most popular jerkbaits on the market, but we're also looking at some new offerings. We've got One Rapala offering, four from Lucky Craft, one from Jackall, and four from Megabass. Pay attention to how each bait moves in the water. Does the bait move side to side? Does it roll and flash? Does it dive deeper on every rip or does it stay level?
Below you'll find links to every bait shown in the video (in order of appearance) as well as links to the rods, reels, upgraded hooks, and gear we used to film the video. Also to aid in your decision making we will point out that our personal favorites for various actions were;
-Best Flash: Jackall Rerange
-Most Consistent Action: Lucky Craft Flash Pointer
-Best Overall Action: Megabass Vision 110+1

As a late arriver, late bloomer to this video, Kudos and ThankYou! I learned a lot. As a homespun lure producer I learned where the strikes were and which hooks they were on, hint hint. And I'm so glad I don't have to put that silly bill on my lip-less productions. Again this video was over the top for one who produces their own baits. Tight Lines.

I’ve had so much success with the Megabass Vision 110 series. Worth the money in my opinion. Yeah, that +1 version has crazy action. My son loves his gill colored tournament version of the Vision 110. Last spawning season, he was able to almost get every spawning bass he went after to viciously hit this thing, whenever it came too close to the bed. Hard rip, then at least a 2 count or more before the next twitch. Those bass went nuts when he did that! It’s as if they get seriously offended that any fish would have the “balls” to invade their territory so brazenly. There’s no better way to explain their reactions to this presentation. My son would probably scold me for giving away one of our secret baits during the spawn, lol.

I know this really has nothing to do with the video, but I had my best day of fishing EVER on Friday. I caught my first 20lb bag, which I know isn't crazy, but it is for me where I live (Central VA). The sad part about the day is that I lost a 7ish pounder and my buddy lost one between 8-10. We could have broken the dirty thirty together if we would have executed a little bit better. Thankfully, I was still able to catch three fish over 5 pounds in one day which is UNREAL for me. So pumped to have been in the right place at the right time. I've never seen the big girls come out to play all at once like that.

@@michaelwise5353 I caught most of my fish on a jig with a zoom big salty chunk trailer. Green pumpkin with chartruese dye on the tips of the trailer. I also caught a few on a jackhammer chatterbait, and a few on a squarebill as well. My buddy caught some on the shakeyhead, brush-hog, and structure bug. They were biting darn near everything we put in front of them. It was incredible.

I’m not sure what they do but I use the ‘ol Rapala loop knot on suspending jerk baits. It’s a harder knot to tie correctly but I think it adds better action. With braided line I put a drop of super glue on the knot & have gained more confidence in the knot. I have bent hooks straight with strippers & the loop knot still holds! With thicker mono the loop knot doesn’t work as well for me? Tight lines 🎣 ✌️🤟🤙

Not much of a comparison unless you are just talking about one brand. I would have rather viewed a comparison of different manufactures by type, As much as I like the Megabass I can't afford them at their high price points when other brands catch fish for me. Additionally Megabass are not very forgiving on an errant cast and at $25.00 I won't put them in my tackle box. Just a personal choice.

I just got my order from tackle warehouse. I was wondering if there is a break-in period for the jackall rerange 110MR. The weight transfer system won't move. I have been shaking it in my hand and it won't budge, maybe I got a dud. I also got a MB vision 110+2, Evergreen FA 87, Shimano WD flash boost, Duo Reallis 100DR. I haven't had a chance to fish any of them yet, my first impressions comparing them out of the package, the shimano looks best. The flash boost and their spring-loaded weight transfer system are very impressive. It looks like it will be a fish catcher for sure.

It's not easy to copy what MB has made and how it performs in. Provoke 106's are great, but they catch fish nicely. Each are good when fish are hungry. The MB is a more proven bait over time. Give it time and maybe it will catch up, if not, I will still buy a Provoke and use it because it works and is affordable, which ought to be the bottom line for us all. 4mm difference changes the way a bait functions and flash. Not copied at all really.

Awesome video. I'm a jerkbait junkie and I'm pretty happy my favorite JB wasnt listed ;). I love the Pointers, they were the first high end Jerkbaits I began fishing. They are amazing and will always be. Megabass 110s are spectacular and are a work of art but that thin bill, though designed to perfect the action is not durable, disappointing for a 25 dollar bait. But like you mentioned, all these Jerkbaits are excellent and excel in different situations. I've outfished a MB 110 user 5:1 with my favorite jerkbait but I've also been outfished by a Shadow Rap 3:1 later in the spring bite. Best advice is, buy them all 🤣🤣🤣

I'm surprised they liked the Rapala ripstop because it looked terrible and didn't come close to the quick stop action they are supposed to have. The small ones do have that stop action but the newer 12 size does not. Tactical Bassin always changes out the split rings and hooks so maybe that made it worse?

I'd like to see a video of the strike king KVD and rapala x-rap suspending jerkbaits. I've had a ton of success with them both.

I didn't start catching fish until I started paying attention to your guys's jerkbait videos, so I'm pretty pumped to see this. Have you guys tried the 6th Sense Provoke 106X?

I caught my PB bluegill 1.52 lbs on a vision 110 this spring...cant wait for the hard jerkbait bite to take off. Theyre already killing the weightless flukes and weightless tubes

I really like these style of videos. Have you guys done one for jigs? As for what jerkbit I liked, well I gotta with the Rapala Ripstop and the Stacey 90

When do you guys start throwing jerkbaits? Is there a certain temp you start throwing them? I was on the lake last week and our water temp is still in the mid 70's.

Ive never had good luck with jerkbaits so I stick with squarebills and lipless. Going to have to pick up a couple of the ones you mentioned.

The 110+1 looked awesome. Please check out the Megabass Diving Flap Slap. When it stops it has a shimmy that is really amazing.

Megabass vision 110+1 looked awesome! I was pretty disappointed there was no 6th sense Provoke in the video. Any reason why not?
