Searching for that clunk or hollow pop is a HUGE part of the training. Most videos show guys firing a known number of rounds and then transitioning without observing that the rifle is down. Nicely done.

Simple, effective and practical. Thank you Mr. Dave...Been watching some of your training videos and I love that you're pointing out the safety handling and why. Continue the great work sir.

Thanks Dave for looking back at the holster. One thing I can say I see alot of in trainings is the over drilling of putting the pistol away. While yes in training absolutely safety first, but in a real life confrontation situation, I am not putting my firearm away until I am certain the threat is gone. People get caught up in range exercises and that's how they train and that's how they respond, which flat range practices can lead to bad habits.

Great idea and a safe way to practice. I think it might be even better if you have 2-3 mags staged with 2 rounds to increase the training though. Basically rifle runs empty, transition till threat is gone, transition back to rifle and clear stoppage/ reload fire again , transition and so on

Also using snap cap/dummy round is a good malfunction transition to pistol drill. You don’t feel the bolt lock back but as soon as you pull the trigger on your rifle and nothing happens you instantly transition to handgun. A lot of people will look at the rifle or try a tap, rack, bang... which can be a good option unless the bad guys are right up on you. So I also like to practice with a snap cap loaded as the last round (one live, one snap) and doing an emergency transition to handgun.

Is it possible to do on video on pistol and rifle reloading and how to do it and what to look for if any problem occurs? Good video today, thanks

Yeah realistically in a Gun fight if your rifle runs dry as you are shooting at the enemy NOBODY is ever going to spend the extra milliseconds putting the rifle on safe before transitioning to their side arm. It’s just never going to happen! Very good drill!

Good content here! Maybe you cold do material about basic cqb techniques, that cold be interesting or even film something with "tactical rifleman" it could improve your 'range' on KZbin
