97 kilometers escaped 👀 Pogačar is a spectacular cyclist, having a 41 second lead with 70 km to go as a reference point is understandable. But I don't understand how there is no coordination to chase. One, two put their chests to the wind and the others stretch, adjust their uniform, the last one looks back to see if the ice cream cart is coming🤷🏻♂️ They were more attacks than organization, let them save it for the last kilometer. Who cares about being the fastest at kilometer 40, 30, 22 if you're not even in the fight for medals. Today's cyclists boast about the number of watts but ignore strategy, reading the race and common sense. Not capturing him among 10 goes against physics. "The King is dead, long live the king", "Le roi est mort, vive le roi". Ps. Ben Healy, Skujins👏
@brentrasmussen2440Ай бұрын
Tadej not only had the strongest legs, but he read his competition perfectly. Riders don't have their normal teams, so it is much more difficult to organize a chase. Everyone was attacking and riding for themself. I also think that MVDP being in the chase, was a very big reason that it was not organized as nobody wanted to drag MVDP to the line!
@cesarortegaescamilla1782Ай бұрын
@@brentrasmussen2440And in Strade Bianche and Paris-Roubaix 2024 or the two Liège-Bastogne-Liège that Remco won, why didn't they chase? Today Matteo Jorgenson denied Remco Evenepoel a relay and Ben O'Connor was at the back of the group just to use two examples. Pogačar won and everyone lost without putting up a fight at the level of a World Championship. Van der Poel was the one who spent the most time chasing.
