TADEJ POGACAR. Most dominant TDF performance ever. GREATEST season ever. BEST RIDER OF ALL TIME
@laurafinkelstein91815 ай бұрын
So exciting!! Both stages in Pyrannees, both stages in Alps, plus final time-trial by over a minute. And he seems to be having such "fun" doing it. (Saw a short 'Coffee w/Pogi' piece, and he seems like just a young, very gifted athlete, who enjoys doing things when the 'feel right'/instinctive to him. He's put in the work (identified his weaknesses) and I, for one, think he's great for the sport!

That video is so well edited and with the music and the voice over.... it brings back all the shivers I got at every Pogi's victory... what a Tour from this man... We must feel lucky to witness his glory in the making. Who wouldn't want to see Anquetil, Mercx or Hinault... well we have Pogacar !
@ryanphelan68612 ай бұрын
He reminds me of coppi most it's so natural he's virtuoso. Coppi from small sample size of seeing footage, reading , and looking at stats was same type generational talent. We are incredibly lucky I started in 80s got to see lemond and hinault but Tadej besides strength is such a natural on bike watching him on unicycle etc this is once lifetime. Like seeing Messi or in my life Michael Jordan I got to see as child in 80s and 90s in Boston with father. Same unprecedented level of talent. You used perfect names coppi, anquetil, merckx guys that won grand tours, monuments, and set your record for over decade each. Truly generational what's so amazing about Tadej is again as prodigy he's just now maturing mentally so little things and cerebral skills develop to make him more effective. Using team to full potential not wasting energy, remaining composed, defending, altitude, he's leaning out as cyclists do in late 20s. 28-32 usually athletes prime for reason still the fast twitch muscle that can't be created or coached but slow twitch developed from training and experience plus mindset and experience to maximize those tools. On top of it all his partner rides and loves it as well he's just unbelievable athlete and agree despite only 26 this year this young man was greatest rider ever. Be interesting to see him approach san remo but roubaix I think he wins like Flanders as debutant or second try. Pollit and wellens etc he will have incredible team to help him on cobbles. Only vdp at moment has legs to beat him and he will be on other side of 28-32 age range. Perhaps young men come on scene like NYS or cross rider, but going for 5 monument to join coppi,binda,merckx and a Vuelta knowing not just how competitive he is but style he rides in its so exciting 😁🤙 sagan,Gilbert,contador he has elements of all top talents what a rider. Lastly this tour 2025 being labeled anti pogacar I see it opposite I think organization knows his skill and is looking for story lines and to provoke his power. He will be so motivated to win on col du loze, hautucam, ventoux. Places he's been dropped by Jonas. UAE roster is embarrassment of riches set to get better as they finally got world class rouleurs for grand tours like jumbo visma utilized for years to such incredible effect. Cheers

Tadej pogacar’s Tour de France seasons: 2020 tour - betrayed roglic who thought he was his friend 2021 tour - colbrelli crashes out the only guy who can beat him 2022 tour - got smoked 2023 tour - exploded for not saving energy 2024 tour - his main rival underprepared after being in hospital. Beats Remco😂 Nothing amazing about his wins

Betrayed Roglic? They are on opposing teams, have never raced together on the same team, and only really share nationality. 2021, cobrelli stands no chance, his only win in a stage race was the tour of Benelux. 2022 he hardly got smoked, vingegaard was just on a better year, plus pogacars team was super lacklustre compared to jumbo. 2023 he had a broken wrist about a week before the tour started, so was in a similar(obviously not as serious) position to Vingegaard this tour. Still, Vingegaard dominated, a very impressive ride. This tour, both him and Vingegaard were in the best form of their life, putting out record breaking numbers. Sure Vingegaard crashed, but he still was at an exceptionally high level, similar to 2023 pog. Pog absolutely dominated this tour from start to finish despite his main rival being in statistically the best form of his life. How is that not impressive
