I love all your videos GNT, but I think its crazy, and great lol, how you reply to majority of the comments on all your videos lol. I think that's why we love you so much, in the appropriate of course, because you're an amazing martial artist and instructor and you interact with the audience. Great work! :-)

Amazing tutorial GNT!! I recently switched from TKD to Isshin Ryu karate and I was getting destroyed from the lack of punching skills, this video helped a whole bunch!😄👏

good video, i like to use the traditional punching style in class but in competition i would get in trouble for going full contact so its cool to see this and gives me something to work on for competition

Very nice video my friend Aaron!! In the case of punching combinations, when Iam sparring, i prefer to use crescent punch aka Bandal Jirugi than the classic hook punch, because it has a wider angle and I doesn't need to get that close to my opponent. However, they are great combinations!!

Sir, could you do a video on punch/kick combos - for example when our club runs a tournament in the rules we are allowed 3 punches max - the 4th needs to be a kick. thanks for the insight and ideas as always

can you do a tutorial about sparring much taller opponents as im in -63 and 5"8 and usually sparring people 6ft and up usually giving up 4 to 6 inches sometimes more and i know to hit and run and a lot of different tactics but getting close enough to score can be pretty difficult in the first place especially when they constantly using side kick

I know you told Alex Wong that you did tournaments. But did you actually get to do any M.m.a? If you ever visit the states visit Alex Wong n sparr each other that video would be sooooo epic!!!! Love hers n your videos!!! Keep up the great work n if u have tkd tournament or kick boxing or Mma videos plz share em! Happy Training

upload some videos on how to increase strength/Power in your kicks like turning /Round house kick and 360 kick, also show some blocking moments in sparring if possible :)

Tutorials are already up for those kicks and explained in there are ways to make it stronger without drills. As for drills to make it stronger and blocks, they will be covered in future videos :)

GingerNinjaTrickster ok cool,I've only been doing martial arts 3 years so you was one first video I used to learn from sidekicks spin kicks hop kicks they helped me a lot because explain them properly and slowly,and you should do fighting have unbelievable kicks

They are allowed in some tournaments. My advice is to check the rules of the tournament you are going to compete in. Good luck :)

Hey Aaron great vid, but one thing I dont understand is why do you never play in taekwondo tournaments, I think you would do great.

I can't dedicate enough time to be as good as i'd want to be for tournaments. My job, my family, youtube videos and editing are just some of what I have to juggle on a regular basis. Then add seminars, demonstrations and other business which leaves me with very little time to even train. I think I could compete and do okay but okay is not good enough for me and what i'd want to achieve if i did go down that path again. Thank you for your support :)

Your videos are amazing man! I just have one question: why are you using hooks, knifehands, backhands and uppercuts when only straight punches are allowed in ITF tournament? Are those punches allowed in your country?

I practice ITF and (as far as I know) there is no specific rule that prohibits uppercuts or hooks. at least that's the way it is in my country (Argentina)

Hi GNT. I wonder if all the punch variations as shown in your video are legal in ITF tournaments? They looks like kickboxing/boxing punches already. I practice GTF style and only straight punch is allowed to use, no hook, bob & weave... are allowed. Sometimes I wonder if this is depending on the local association? Thanks a lot.

I practice ITF Taekwondo and (as far as I know) there is no rule that prevents the use of hooks and uppercuts.

Most of the combinations yes but there are more efficient techniques and combinations for outside fighting that I will cover in the future :)
