No this is a twist kick and a side kick but if you look to related videos on the right >> It's at the top :) The basic is the front kicks. This one needs a good degree of flexibility to be done correctly. Hope that helps :)

Depends on how you want to do the side kick. Are you kicking off the front leg or the rear?
@GingerNinjaTrickster11 жыл бұрын
In a nutshell. You can either run or do it standing but your front foot has to turn out so you can release the hips and come up to chamber. You want to drive your knee up as you are pushing off, bring the leg around to the side kick chamber, fire the leg out striking with the blade of the foot or heel and try to tuck the non kicking leg up to protect the groin. Recoil the leg and land on the ball of your non kicking leg or both of your legs to absorb impact. Hope that helps and good luck :)

Brother please make a tutorial on the kick which you did in your black panther video at 00:15
@GingerNinjaTrickster11 жыл бұрын
Well done :) Maybe it's because you have good dynamic flexibility in your hips but the other relies more on the hamstrings so keep working hard on improving those and i'm sure you will get it. Good luck :)
@GingerNinjaTrickster11 жыл бұрын
Yea, it's also called a scissor kick. I put that in the description but i'll put it in the main title now too :)

Your videos and technique are exceptional and I appreciate the time you put in to share them with us, but I gotta tell you, that at close to 61 years of age I feel 40 years past ever doing this kick well. I have reasonable flexibility, but mine, at best, look like a reasonable facsimile of a boss kick. Mostly because it's hard to land "quietly" with this kick. I have both components, a decent jumping side kick and a great twist kick, but putting them together in the air without my mind getting in the way is a struggle. thanks again.

I appreciate you saying that and try to break it down and build it ip. Good luck and No problem :)

@andrewwheeldon39578 жыл бұрын
This tutorial has really inspired me to pick up this kick again, used to do it back in the day and daren't even try it nowadays, need to increase flexibility for it as far as i remember. Those breaker boards look interesting, i can only find childrens boards that are easier to break (and are therefore not up to an adults impact force), are these ones adult boards?
@GingerNinjaTrickster8 жыл бұрын
I'm glad you feel that way and re-breakable boards can be bought for all levels of ability :)
@jasonaggarwal345010 жыл бұрын
Would this be more effective than the front kick version during a sparing situation?
@GingerNinjaTrickster10 жыл бұрын
It's harder to pull off in my experience of trying in 2 onto 1. The front kick version is easier and quicker to do, hence it being more effective. That being said they are mainly for show.
