I like that you're respectful and can really appreciate how analytical you were when breaking down the kick. Your presentation and even showing the two types was immaculate. I enjoyed this tutorial and will probably watch many more.

Very helpful tutorial Aaron. Though I did learn the 540 hook last summer, I always had a hard time with the balance of THIS kick even though I could do the "step-through" version of this easily (instead of stepping in first, using that step as a fake and not actually putting the foot down). It was all in the pivot of the front foot you pointed out. That along with spotting the target while stepping- nailed it!
I'm glad you think so and i really appreciate you saying that. Thank you :)

I appreciate you saying that. Thank you :) It should be as when you jump up, you have more height and time to do the kick. The version for sparring is about speed with minimal height so can be more difficult to learn. I'm glad you think that. Thanks again :)

No problem :) I train more on the side that needs work to get used to it, make it feel more natural in the future and to catch up with the stronger leg. One leg will always feel more natural to use and for me some kicks i'm better with my less dominant leg but it's about making them close as you can on both sides so your not weak on one side and can defend/attack efficiently. Hope that helps and good luck with your training :)
