Oh there is so much Taemin lol. Also a big chunk of kpop fans agree that Taemin is a genre within himself. Never gonna dance again is his third full album, not a mini-album; it actually two full albums with act1 & act 2, but they are connected theme-wise so both are the third full album each act has 9 songs. criminal was the title track for act1 & idea is the title track for act2. he had a pre-release of a b-side from act1 called "2kids" as well back in august. both acts are great I hope you listen to them Criminal as taemin mentioned before is about 2 sides of him and having a Stockholm syndrome to a persona in him like stage persona & in Idea it's about being free of that persona & finding his ideal form. in the mvs it was explained that in criminal it was indeed hell & limbo and in idea it's him in purgatory and heaven in the end. idea was inspired its concept is inspired by plato's forms theory (both mvs and lyrics) with connection to dante's paradise lost (mv wise) fun fact: the ending pose in criminal is the start pose in idea another thing is that the last song in act2 album "identity" its instrumental is the outro of his last year mini-album "want", I hope you check "want" as well, its theme (the mv & song) is about temptation & him being the forbidden apple thank you for reacting to him and hope you do more in future

(Not so) fun fact: Taemin was called tone deaf when he debuted with SHINee. He didn't have any lines on their debut song. He worked really hard on his vocals so thanks for saying all those nice things about his smooth voice. Hope you react to more Taemin and SHINee stuff in the future.

I'm gonna have to answer yes & no to that, sir, because for me, Taemin has topped every single one of his title tracks consistently every year since his solo debut in 2014 with new comebacks. Let's get you started from the very beginning: *Ace & Danger* (2014, 1st Korean mini album), *Drip Drop & Press Your Number* (2016, 1st Korean full album), *Sayonara Hitori* (2016, 1st Japanese mini album - the Korean ver. of the song is called "Goodbye"), *Flame of Love* (2017, 2nd Japanese mini album), *Move, Love, & Thirsty* (2017, 2nd Korean full album), *Day & Night* (2017, Korean Move-ing repackaged album), *Eclipse & Under My Skin* (2018, 1st Japanese full album), *Want & Artistic Groove* (2019, 2nd Korean mini album), *Famous* (2019, 3rd Japanese mini album), * 2 Kids & Black Rose* (2020, 3rd Korean full album Act 1 - same as Criminal), *Heaven* (2020, 3rd Korean full album Act 2 - same as IDEA). Yes, this man has full & mini albums in both Korean & Japanese & has held solo concerts in both Korea & Japan. Never Gonna Dance Again: Act 2 with IDEA is his 11th album including all the Korean/Japanese/full/mini/repackaged albums, but I digressed. These are just the title tracks & the b-sides that he promoted with them. There are so many more hidden, underappreciated gems in his albums. As for the promoted b-side tracks, some of them have MV/performance videos. For others, you'll have to check out the live stages in music shows or concerts, & let me tell, you, he does NOT disappoint. This man's energy & stage presence is something! *Ace, Drip Drop, & Thirsty* have performance videos. *2 Kids* has a MV as it was a pre-release before Criminal/Act 1. You will have to see the live stages for *Love, Artistic Groove, Black Rose, & Heaven.* Fun fact: *Artistic Groove* is the 1st full released choreo that Taemin choreographed completely on his own. Just an addition, Taemin's "Day and Night" which is the b-side track from "Move-ing" repackage album has an MV but for the stage performance Taemin choreographs the routine himself too. He also writes the lyrics for "Day and Night" just like he writes "Artistic Groove". This man's talent really is mind-blowing

This is the title track for the second part of his newest two-part album (each having 9 songs), "Never Gonna Dance Again" (Acts I & 2). Taemin always has dual meanings for his lyrics: 1) take them as you read them and be happy; or 2) delve more deeply to reveal the true meaning. There are two concepts for this album that dovetail together. WARNING: Taemin is DEEP and very intellectual. Much of what we know about the lyrics come from listening to him explain it on interviews and IG LIVEs. The rest is due to our (fans) research. "Criminal (title song) - Act I" Concept: Stockholm syndrome. Taemin is trying to change his persona. However, his current/present ego is holding the newly emerging ego captive. It's a love/hate relationship. The present ego is familiar and "safe" because it's known. However, the new, emerging ego wants to be free to discover a new, better Taemin, but that's a scary proposition. What is that new freedom going to be like? "IDEA (title song) - Act 2" Concept: Plato's philosophical Theory of Forms. My daughter explains the theory much better in words than I could: "I think Taemin is chasing after the idea of "Taemin." Just like Plato's world of forms, there is an intrinsic IDEA of the "identity" of "Taemin." Taemin is chasing after this identity to reach higher levels of "Taemin-ness." Just as we have an idea of a chair, (a throne is considered a type of chair because it has "chairness"), so Taemin has the idea of "Taemin-ness." As Taemin tries to go further in his discovery he realizes that it is impossible to reach true "Taemin-ness" because it's perfect, and perfection is impossible for the flawed human to reach. Only a higher power made the concept of a "chair" or the concept of "Taemin" and only perfection is able to realize them." What makes Taemin, TAEMIN? Can he achieve perfection? The present ego thinks he's the one who can achieve perfection; no need for a new ego. The newly-emerging ego thinks maybe perfection on his own can't be achieved without the help of a greater power outside himself (Messiah). This realization creates even more conflict. Taemin is a devout Catholic, and his faith is always reflect through the lyrics, images, and choreo of his work. This theory fits in perfectly with his worldview. So with "IDEA" you have the climactic battle between the two competing egos inside Taemin's head. In the end, Taemin's new ego breaks free to take over. The old IDEA of Taemin is killed and shaken off, and the new IDEA of Taemin has begun. Another extreme example of this type of performance duality is his MV for "Want". That one, on the surface, seems to be all about seduction and tempting a woman. However, it's actually a retelling of Genesis 3 and, as he dances, subtly leading you to Rodin's "Gates of Hell," he provides a hint of the salvation message at the very end, leaving you with a choice to make. Again, it's quite deep for those who know what to look for and want to take the time to find it.

Taemin is such a legend! He's this force of nature in his MVs with this oozing androgynous sexuality, but he's such a dorky, squishy-face cutie-pie IRL. My favorite MVs are Move and Want, but also Sayonara Hitori which is a Japanese release with like last airbender vibes.

Yes, Taemin is also an actor, but in Japan. His last drama was called Final Life, but it was a Japanese drama. We all know that Taemin is also a Jpop artist and very fluent in speaking Japanese

Criminal is at the same album title NEVER GONNA DANCE AGAIN Act 1, whereas IDEA is under Act 2. The Prologue of both Acts was 'Two Kids.' Under each Acts have its own list of tracks, so it is also kinda looked like two albums, but Taemin released it in two parts.

Taemin’s 3rd full album Never Gonna Dance Again was released in two acts with Criminal being the title track of Act 1 and IDEA of Act 2 - both acts have nine songs each and honestly both are absolute masterpieces and you should check them out! Taemin started his solo career in 2014 very strong with title track Danger (super MJ like vibe as MJ was always his biggest idol). You should definitely check out all his title tracks, preferably chronologically - this way you will see his full potential and his amazing progress over the years (while he was perfect from the beginning, he still gets better and better which is insane!). Check out Danger, Press Your Number, Drip Drop, Move, Thirsty and Want - these are all his Korean releases. I agree that Taemin is on completely different level, that’s why he is my favorite male artist.

Taemin is one of the most charismatic performers ever (and that includes Kpop and Western pop and more)! His discography is so excellent - it is impossible for him to make bad music. You should check his other stuff out! On the third album (Act 1 and Act 2), I love Clockwork (amazing, amazing song), Be Your Enemy (hi, Wendy from Red Velvet), Black Rose (hello, Taemin and trap) and Impressionable (Taemin and a tango beat). You should definately check out Move, Want, and Press Your Number. I would say those are the most sonically similar to criminal/idea. The choreo for Move is nuts, btw - recommend checking out the performance video of that one. I believe it's labeled as MOVE #2.
