Thank you for another Taemin reaction! To me must see performances are: Elcipse from Arena Tour, Stone Heart from Off Sick, Rise from Sirius (and many many more, there is no escaping Taemin's pull and artistry). All three are very different from each other.

My must see Taemin live is definitely "Door". He does multiple stages for this song and each one gives something a little different to the storytelling and the artistic interpretation you can have about it. Loved your reaction and your interpretation of the lyrics was spot on imo. Taemin does think about a performance while picking songs for his albums. He admitted in one of his interviews, that some songs actually end up on his albums because he envisions how grand they would look on stage, giving him the opportunity to shine as a performer and giving the audience an unforgettable show. And actually he could dance in any shoes I suppose, since he trained his dancing on multiple surfaces and during DCM era they danced in super heavy boots. One of my favorite live performances of his is MAMA 2016 (showcases his dancing, charisma and swag), also Rise from Sirius tour is exceptional, but this performance highlights his beautiful, unique voice, vocal skills and how he’s a master of emotional interpretation.

this was his first ever solo concert ☺️ Jonghyun postponed his own concert to fly over to Japan together with Onew to witness it. There are many interesting facts about this concert (one for example is that there was a fragrance created especially for this concert and it was sprayed during the performances, even the limited edition of the concert blu-ray came with the fragrance diffuser and aroma stone). During the preparations for this concert he had to fly back and forth between Japan and Korea for his exams to get his masters degree and preparation for SHINee concert. He really worked hard for this and gave his all as always, so thank you for reacting to this live performance ☺️❤️ There's also an upload of the concert DVD behind the scenes here on KZbin.

This performance of "Sexuality" was part of Taemin's first solo Japanese Arena tour, which was in 2017, so if you watch the whole concert you will discover that the majority of his songs are in Japanese. LOL, the song's called "Sexulaity," what did you expect? ;) If you think this performance was sexy, just wait until you see his live performance of "Slave" or "Play Me," etc. Sexuality is fairly tame compared to some of his other performances. LOL Taemin is known for being super sexy when it comes to his solo content. It's just part of who he is, and he does it without even really trying. Taemin has two types of songs when it comes to his solo work. His songs are either super sexy and sensual or they are technically complex and beautiful. But either way they are always mind blowing. Just take a look at the titles of some of his songs: "Danger," "Soldier" "Sexuality," "Tiger," "Press Your Number," "Guess Who," "Mystery Lover," "Hypnosis," "Slave." "Crazy 4 U," "Play Me," "Flame of Love," " Under My Skin," "Thirsty," "Want," "Criminal," etc. Or "Ace," "Already", "Door, "Pretty Boy," "Move" "Artistic Groove," "Famous," "Idea," etc. Each song is meant to show you exactly why he is one of the best in the industry even just by their titles. I find it interesting that all of his songs, with the titles alone, tell you exactly what Taemin is all about. If you look at the titles of his songs, you will see that the titles convey one of two things about him, either painting a picture of his sexy and sensual onstage personality, or they explain his dedication and passion as an artist. But, as I think you know, that's only his onstage personality. When not on stage, he is actually pretty shy and quiet and he blushes and becomes super awkward when he even tries to flirt with someone. And when he is with the other members of SHINee, there is no doubt that he is the baby of the group. You would never guess he could ever be this sexy on stage. This is a perfect example of what makes him one of the top performers in the industry and why he is one of the most popular solo artists, as well as a member of SHINee. And of course, not only is Taemin's dancing amazing, but he is doing it while singing live as well. After all, he is a member of SHINee LOL. SHINee almost never lip sync during live performances. It's actually more shocking to see SHINee not singing live. That is one of the many things that makes them kings of live performances. Fun fact: Taemin is performing on a octagonal stage. If you watch the making of video/ documentary for this concert, kzbin.info/www/bejne/m4TYeGmkfNuporM, you will see that Taemin had a really hard time trying to figure out how to perform on a round stage. It took some extra practice and planning for him to understand how to use the round stage. And when he first started out, he had a hard time figuring out where he should be on stage at certain moments. This was his first time ever performing on a stage in the round, and he wasn't used to not having a defined front of the stage. It took him a few performances before he became comfortable with performing with that set design.

Which explains why he says they're drunk on this "new world", and he sees his old fantasies, faith and dreams sort of contested. This was my favorite song from the Press It album when it dropped, because it used very elegant language to describe the awakening of sexuality, which was just unheard of in kpop at the time as well. Nobody would sing this kind of thing haha.
