Also, it’s so nice so hear Taeyeon sing old songs she’d covered before on the radio during her early days in SNSD, like “Spring Flowers” by BMK... and even sing some of her old OSTs and TTS songs. She’s introduced me to so much music over the years just from me following her that I feel like my iTunes library is her karaoke repertoire now... or should I say, our karaoke repertoire. She’s grown so much as a vocalist all these years, it makes me so proud to see her still sing with the same conviction in her eyes and that same stubborn confidence she had in 2007. What do you mean with highest vocal range ? Every human vocal range is similar which is 3 Octave including you. Man is from 2th to 5th while woman is mostly from 3th to 6th that's how god create human vocal cords Range isn't important , what is important is SUPPORTED range , when you heard a singer hitting something on 6th octave , did they support the notes or strain it ? pretty sure they strain it cause there is not many who can actually mix & support on 6th octave Taeyeon could hit 7th octave if she wants but it doesn't mean anything if it strained. But she is good vocalist capable of supporting more than 2 octave , mind to tell you the likes of IU doesn't support anything on 5th octave

@@peace-gn1oq Vocal tone is matter of choice but vocal techniques is an absolute knowledge and can be measured Just like math wendy can mix in 6th octave but she lacks resonant which is taeyeon forte, it makes her voice sounds fuller and more open compared Search KZbin about vocal resonance to learn more Btw mixing =/= supporting. Wendy supported range is just about the same with taeyeon

2:20 I was like 'wait I heard this song before' and then I remembered Chen sang this on one of Baekhyun's IG Live. He slayed that note! I don't really know the original song but its so amazing to hear a woman's voice for this song (since I only heard it from Chen's perspective) As expected from SM's vocal power house. PS. I feel like sobbing. Taeyeon has been doing soooo well recently on her singing. I mean she's good already since the beginning but when I hear her lives from her concerts, I can't help but be amazed coz damn she really slayed so much these days. Its so hard to be so consistent when you have to fly to far places and have concerts for live how many consecutive days but ㅠㅠ She's amazing. I wish I could sing like her..

C#5 hasn't been a problem for her for years, and i'd say she's basically got D5 down pat now so idk if i agree with her supported range being "C#5/D5" anymore. she might not resonate D5s all the time, but she supports D5s almost always (id say over 80% of the time, and the other 20% of the time where there's some tension, is because she's tired and not because she doesnt possess the technique). to me, D5 is comfortably within her supported range and its clear that Eb5 is her next target. she's been creeping up on it from last year (greedy, my funny valentine, several times during persona and during her christmas concert) and this year she's supported it a handful more times at her 's... concert (ex. night), japanese showcase (ex. im the greatest), and now, theres... what, 5-8 more supported Eb5s with this karaoke video alone? taeyeon doesnt have a lot of Eb5s in her music, but out of the ones that she has, shes supported quite a portion of them this past year. right now im still giving her G3/G#3-D5-F#5 but if she continues to show these kinds of Eb5s, i think i would consider her supported mix to be D5/Eb5. fingers crossed!

her Eb5's have definitely gotten better and I feel she probably will get it eventually, but she's just not supporting them consistently enough. Like yeah she carries support in a lot of her Eb5's even in this karaoke session, but they still have issues with pushing where you can't really call them supported Eb5's aside from the Lost in Love one. She needs to be supporting them consistently to give her D5/Eb5, which she unfortunately still doesn't Hopefully soon though!
