Trofim sadly died in his last mission so his story ended. I know what you are saying but the FW190 A-8 variant hit production is Feb 1944.

@@TaffinExile, DAGNABBIT! I must have missed Trofim's last mission, somehow. I always thought he had survived the campaign and you moved on to other characters. BTW, the A-9 entered production in September of '44, so it would be the "new thing" the pilots would be talking about. I wonder if Sebastian will live long enough to fly one.

Luftwaffe didn't count 'probable' kills. They are either independently confirmed, i.e. someone else has to see it crash, or it's not awarded at all.

That's the problem with AI in this game, most likely the Typhoon was assigned a light bomber AI since it's an attack mission. The fighter AI of the spits did quite well.
