You’re a hero, started fishing 6 weeks ago because I’m furloughed. Found your channel, watched 10s and 10s of your videos, picked up loads of tips. After a slow start over the first few trials, today I had 4 carp 10 lbs plus on the ledger, and scores of perch, bream, roach and Rudd on the float using corn, maggots and paste. Also visited my animal feed shop for ground bait. Thank you so much Graham, really you are inspirational!

Graeme another greatly entertaining video. Regarding your fly and feather; the fly is one of the UK species of Snipe Fly and the feather looks like a fairly heavily abraded Red Kite primary feather, specifically a P6 feather i.e. the sixth feather in from the wing tip. We've grown a patch with 'bee bombs' this year which is doing well with butterflies but its the lavender at the moment that is getting a LOT of honey bees. We've had two hornets in the garden but not massive, saw one the size of a Lancaster Bomber at Finch Farm on Sunday though so may be the invasion has begun! I didn't have any baits big enough to catch it unfortunately.

As always smashing content, your bad days fishing is my good one. Watch out on the runners just had the very first sign of black fly, don't think the wet weather is helping! Loved the additional content, though I still think Mike's problem is deer (when we had a couple of deer they leapt our six foot fence to escape). In other videos you have what I assume is a scarecrow peering over the fields at the back is there any history to this it looks great. Thanks as always for posting. As far as beer is concerned my favourite is Ruddles County when I can get it.

Hello from Canada. I also follow Outdoors. Do you have white moths flying around your broccoli? If you do they will lay their eggs on the plant and the caterpillars or worms will eat your broccoli like crazy! These moths will do this to any cabbage type plant (cauliflour, Brussel sprouts, cabbage etc.) To stop them we always use a powder that you can buy at the gardening section of any store or at a gardening store. Hope that helps you. Happy angling!! Happy gardening.
@TAFishing3 жыл бұрын
Hi Canada, I don't know about the moths,but Mike had trouble with Rabbits munching his vegetables.
@jacquelinemhanson48653 жыл бұрын
@@TAFishingok. Well if he tries to grow the broccoli next year, see if there aren't white moths with a little black spot on their wing. Then you have a moth problem. Oh yeah and look for green worms on the leaves too. Good luck!!

Closed face reels are sometimes a bit faster when match fishing..I think that's how they originated.
@the_smiling_blobfish36824 жыл бұрын
maggots have a little bit of skin that is kinda like a tail, the best way to hook a maggot is through that, it keeps them wriggling and alive (so long as they don't drown)
@PenDragonsPig4 жыл бұрын
Why the closed faced reel? I came into a bunch of them (live in US) including 2 or 3 rather modern models. Ive kinda paired them with a couple of nice take down rods but haven’t in the slightest been temped to use them. Using them seems like a step backwards for no reason.

Have you asked Bury Hill Fisheries why they have banned method feeders? I was about to apply to join when I found this ban in their Carp rules, I enjoy method fishing as it keeps me busy which I like but if method fishing harms the fish in some way I’d like to know so that I can rethink my tactics. I do of course fish a running method feeder up against a quick link bead stop which I think is even safer than a lead clip and would be happy to change the hook length to whatever the fishery recommends but this blanket ban puzzles me. Regards, Clive.
