Tag Heuer Professional 2000 Review

This video covers the Tag Heuer Professional 2000. Tag Heuer is a polarizing brand. It has faced much criticism over its designs, smart watches, and movements. Nevertheless, they are a brand with widspread appeal. This video covers a vintage Tag Heuer: the Professional 2000 chronograph.
I consider its aesthetics. This includes the curious case size and dial set up. The watch case is mid-to-large. But, due to its small dial, it can appear relatively small. Unfortunately, this does date the watch. However, this short coming aside, it is an attractive watch.
I also discuss its movement and functions. The Professional 2000 features an ETA movement, which, while not in house, is robust.

I have the Heuer 'version' of this watch which I purchased in 1984. BTW - as expected, the bezel on my watch rotates anti-clockwise. I believe that this watch was primarily designed as a divers' watch due to the following specific features: (a) one-way rotating bezel is essential to monitor dive duration; (b) chunky bezel can be adjusted whilst wearing dive gloves; (c) the strap has a quick adjustment to allow for wearing with/without a wetsuit. I have done somewhere in the region of 400+ dives with the watch including some in excess of 150 feet. My watch functions perfectly well to this day.

I have the CE2118. Same same but different color. Recently serviced by Tag Heuer. Excellent watches!❤🙌

I have the Heuer version. Looks exactly the same apart from the hands but has an ETA quartz movement with the dubois depratz mechanical chrono. My bezel rotates.

Hi, I have exactly the same model of this Tag Heuer.... but I have have problem, because the bezel itself, I did not noticed that was fall down somewhere in the street. So is it possible to get or to order a replacement of that bezel? thank you. hoping to have a response from you.

You're measurements are wrong. Lug width is 20mm. You originally measured from the bottom of the calipers and then used the top measuring but the digital part was still reading a bit large from the bottom caliper. The case size should be measured without crown and without the crown guard. Measure it diagonally near the chronograph pushers and you'll get 37-38mm case size.
