Hashtag United are a one-of-a-kind football and esports club, based in Essex, England. Formed in 2016 by Spencer Owen as a group of mates playing exhibition games, we now play in the 7th tier of English football, the Isthmian League Premier Division. We won our league in our first season in non-league football and were looking good for a second promotion when the 2019/20 season was voided, but after the 2020/21 season went the same way with us top of the Essex Senior League, we were eventually awarded promotion based on PPG over the two part seasons. In 2023 we won the Isthmian League North and will now play in the Isthmian Premier!
We merged with AFC Basildon Women in summer 2020 and formed our women's team, Hashtag United FC Women, who play in the 3rd tier of women's football, the FA Women's National League Southern Premier Division, after they also won their league in 2023. We also now have 40+ youth teams, reserve and development teams, an inclusive team and a walking football team...plus our esports team who play FIFA at the world's highest level. AT hasnt been up to the level for quite some time despite getting decent minutes and chances. Striz does have some good moments from time to time, but still does not provide a strong sense of safety at the back, his positioning and handling could improve. Too many missed opportunities in the final third, which is sad to see with all the amount of talent we have. Hope the Tags can turn it around and get back winning ways soon

Pedro is an enigma to me. All the boys are talented but I legitimately believe Pedro could play PRO. fundamentally sound, Speed, Vision etc. I am just begging for him to be far more aggressive in his style. Its almost as if he's too much of a team player. The boy can shoot - create space and hit it. I genuinely believe the sky is the limit for him - I just think he needs to be slightly more selfish, play with confidence and attack every scoring opportunity.

One word comes to mind for me this season, frustrating. You have some outstanding players who definitely compete at this level, but simply the issue is you have players paired with them that aren't up to this standard. So frustrating to see so much potential go to waste, some of these players work so hard just to keep things afloat while a select few drag things down. I look forward to next season, it may sound harsh but some of these players need to go down a div. Each game recently just looks like a fight between the players who are ready for this level and the ones that aren't.

Really need some additions though. We are severely lacking a good nr 10 player. We need a good right winger as well. parrot is talented i see him growing needs to be the main nr9 going forward. But yeah a rw plus nr 10. And need a midfielder maybe since cornhill is coming on in age. I think playoffs next season is very possible.

Not sure I like teniola up top like that as much anymore. We saw him drift wide today and had some difficulty attacking the net straight on. Those shots of his going well off target.. maybe he's more comfortable attacking from the sides. I agree there are some quick feet up top, but they usually never lead to much. Dribbling around the op 18 is good and all, but it has to lead to something, when it usually ends up with a pass to a cross. Not going to win any penalties off that sort of movement. A draw that feels like a loss I think. We had many good opportunities but couldn't finish. The chemistry however was very noticeable in how they passed the ball and played together. Shame the result was what it was.

The team looked very, very out of gas by the mid second half. I guess we spent 2 bullets in one shot by starting both Parrot and AT in a 4231 formation. If you want to play them both, use a 442. Also, I think that against lower tier opposition, you need to keep one of Zak and Pedro to be an impact sub. My guess is it should be Pedro, as he tires way easier than Zak.

AT doesn’t take chances and is rarely in good positions, might be missing something not seeing a full 90 mins or off the ball, but not doing it as a striker for me. Luke is far more productive, even if he’s not scoring every game he causes menace and makes space for others Where’s Matty Wooldridge gone? Had a great season, no dispute that the new RB is a really good strong player, but there has to be a spot in that 11 for Matty surely?
