It is sad that in this day and age, someone doesn't know about the wars we were involved in. It shows how bad the education system has become. And we even have a war nicknamed "The Forgotten war," i.e. the Korean war. I learned of all the wars back in grade school in the 1970s during our civics section of the day.
@paulsinnott7980 Жыл бұрын
You started so many of them... Who can keep up!!!
@Uriahjw Жыл бұрын
@paulsinnott7980 But not to know about the second most "famous" war in terms of movies that have been made or tv mini series is just a shame. And most of them we didn't start. We aided the ally in most of them, if not all of them. I would have to look up all the wars and reasons why they started.
@user-fl8yv7rz6f Жыл бұрын
That's because they educated children in the seventies and men ran everything, since the feminist takeover of teaching the standards dropped because women are all about perception and status and so as grades went down they fiddled with this and that to artificially boost grades and the decline began and then socialism crept in (because women are parasitic by nature and socialism promises them other people's earnings and properties) and eventually we get to todays full blown Marxist indoctrination classes where reality is fluid and group thinking is the only thinking tolerated.

I agree with a comment down below regarding the Vietnam war. Every single US soldier left two years before that war ended. The NVA did win the war and the people we had helped did lose. Like almost all wars, nobody really wins. The people who lost the most in that war were the soldiers drafted that had no interest in fighting and those lucky enough to return home were completely shit on by media, men who could afford college to get a draft deferment from combat, and other people who did not have to go.
@garymathena2125 Жыл бұрын
just like Donald Trump did, Five draft deferment's. But, you need to relearn your history from someone else other than left wing liberal's. 72% of the people who served in Vietnam were VOLUNTEER'S. The demographic's of who served in Vietnam were the same as the socio-economic make up of the the US. The breakdown was researched by the DOD, and confirmed by the VFW, The American Legion, The VVA and Amvets.

@tammyblankenship874211 ай бұрын
@@garymathena2125 It helps if you take into account that people often heard stories from relatives or friends who were soldiers in Vietnam. My uncle was a Vietnam vet. He was shit on by the government. He, also, got little help from the VA after he was diagnosed with arthritis due to the shrapnel left in his body from the war. He, also, died from lung cancer that was linked to his time in Vietnam. My uncle went through hell. My late pastor was, also, a Vietnam war vet and he would tell us all kinds of stories about his time in Vietnam. It helps if you learn to listen and not be so quick to brush off what people say just because they "weren't alive" during the Vietnam war. You may be brushing off the testimonial of a Vietnam war vet. I would say it's safe to say a good many, if not the majority, of Vietnam vets have passed on. All we have are stories from them.

@@tntreactionsOn a surface level in hindsight it appears that way. However, on a geopolitical level, securing Vietnam’s democracy was important at the time as the Cold War was underway and Russia was trying to gain Communist footholds in strategic regions, while the US wanted to maintain Democracy footholds in those same regions. It was a proxy war to secure a specific type of government and to create an ally in the region. We may have ‘lost’ at the time, but in the long run we succeeded. Vietnam is an ally of the US moreso than Russia.

Speaking of Vietnam, the reason we were over there was to preserve the American hegemony by spending thousands of American (and many thousands more of Vietnamese) lives to try to maintain a "democratically" - elected nation from being overtaken by a Communist nation that would nationalize (steal) all of the American businesses' assets. The economic system has been largely freed up of this, as people in the highest echelons of society relocate with relative ease and work remotely, often having large, passive incomes that become four or five times as worthy in certain foreign nations, living like kings.

Because installing a dictator in a foreign country to promote political and business interests never goes wrong, they always turn out perfectly stable democracies and even if it fails what are they gonna do?
