I'm 68 and just getting started...soooo...if you hear of an old lady croaking in a weird position...It's me!! I used to belly dance in my younger days...this is great exercise to strengthen muscles used in child birth. I had three natural childbirth and I know my conditioned muscles were of benefit.

@ayabaheera How similar is this dance compared to Belly Dancing??? What are the difference you noticed watching this dance???
@ayabaheera11 ай бұрын
@@dalebecause2467 Thank you! ^_^
@ayabaheera11 ай бұрын
@@pervy.sage86 The similarity is in the isolated hip movements. The difference is in how the movements are executed. It's hard to explain in text, but in most styles of belly dance, the movements are contained and subtle than Tahitian. In Tahitian the movements are larger and more pronounced. It requires more bend in the knees to complete the movements the way she does it. The arm positions are also a bit different.

Hi there! I just wanted you to know!!!! YOU ARE BAD!!!!! Girl! I live in Philadelphia! I am home due to covid. Working but no exercise! I cam across a news-clip. The clip was of New Zealand people giving tribute to George Floyd. I believe, Maori doing HAKA. I cried. Went on looking, in between working😊, It was short but it moved me. I came searching, at 3:00 am to for more. I have, always, loved traditional, dancing. Unfortunately, in U.S., it’s not shown!!!! I watched hours. Saw Tahitian dancers and was amazed! I tried but... ANYWAY! Your show came up. You talked a little.... THEN! You started DAMCIN’!!!! GURL! Splendid. Just beautiful. I got up and tried! Lord! Have mercy! It’s a workout BUT YOU MAKE IT APPEAR EFFORTLESS! JUST BEAUTIFUL! I am going to continue trying BUT I AM TWICE YOUR AGE! Like I said. YOU ARE BAD!!!! Thank you for sharing.

Polinesians dances are probably my next fav from now on. While i'm watching it, i'm still practicing it in my living room, and i am not feeling that much isolated and disgraced anymore. This is awesome, thanks SO much for sharing! I'd actually been considering buying a workout video and YOURS is what I was looking for! So, if you EVER convert this to a DVD to use I would love to purchase one, so I can use it on my TV for a better visual workout. I wear glasses and when working out of course one sweats, lol! So I don't wear my glasses and can't always SEE that great, but if I could figure out a way to watch this on a bigger screen, it would be so much easier and beneficial. Thanks, Bridges

Thank you for the great rhythms and dance moves. My senior citizen body is ultra stiff from lying around with this shelter-in-place, Covid!9 lockdown (in CA, SF Bay Area) and I'm looking for something to motivate me to exercise. This may be it. I enjoyed the drums and freeing energy. Knowing nothing about Tahitian dance, I watched the whole thing and even got up to stretch and do some hip circles. Thanks for the inspiration.
