Come on, think for even half a second, there are thousands and thousands of square miles of uninhabited land in that area. Land that humans can't even get to. It's because they are easy to get into and warm. Has nothing to with too many humans and more to do with providing them a more appealing alternative than an unheated cave.

We haven't taken their homes, the caves they used are still there, humans aren't living in them. It's that we have provided a more appealing alternative than an unheated cave.

Some of those bears probably have little cubs. It's pretty fricken rude to harass a momma with babies before hibernation is truly over. They are endangering cubs.
