Ford Expedition is the Tahoe competitor. the expedition el/max (which was introduced in 07 or 08, way after this model expy was made) is the suburban competitor. this is a 2nd generation expedition which means the excursion was the suburban competitor at the time it was made. regular expedition + tahoe = fair match

How do you figure the tahoe was older,,they made this body style from 2000-2006 and the expedition started this body style from 2003 up, I think the expo had better traction with the bigger wheels..smaller the wheels smaller the bite! so the tahoe had no chance because, smaller wheels and the tahoe is a whole lot lighter,so the advantages are greater for the expo.

Eh, Well the Tahoe weight is not really an excuse it's just facts is all. Chevy lost. The Expedition is heavier, has better towing capacity, better traction and overall is more powerful. Tahoe is more lighter and does not have the best traction and alright towing capacity. Obviously it was not going to win. In the end Ford won.
