best book i have found for the tai chi classics is the Essence of Tai Chi by Benjamin Lo and Danial Lee; THE 1979 edition. the newer editions have removed all the step by step learning of push hands and explaining the Dalu. question how do you have your do the test of SOFTNESS?

Interesting ideas. Thanks but just what are the 9 joints please?

3 roots are hips, shoulders, and sacrum, three bows are elbows, knees, mid back, and three tips are wrists, ankles, and neck. Alluded to the classics as the pearl with 9 crooked parts.

is it not true that you cannot see all the pieces of the body moving inner connected by 1 mind but you can feel the result and see it.

Body and mind.

Don’t you think they were referring to the internal jin. Even though it looks like the body is stopped the Jin is still moving. Basic internal part of taijji. Why would realized masters be referring to external concepts. Too limiting

Internal movement is addressed in other classics and I’ll do a video on that at a later date.
