This is one of the best, clearest application of cloud hands that I have ever seen!

Oh my God! Thank you so much Sifu Djurdjevic! Your interpretation of this one move has excelled my martial arts practices to astronomical proportions! My emphasis is on Bagua, and Wing Chun but thanks to great teachers like you, I no longer have to rethink myself when studying or applying martial arts! You are a most excellent binding and blending force to behold!

Dan, do you have a application for Yang style lift hands?
@DanDjurdjevicplus3 жыл бұрын
Unfortunately, I don’t. I haven’t practiced Yang since the 90s!

@@DanDjurdjevicplus oh, do you practise another tai chi form such as Chen style?
@DanDjurdjevicplus3 жыл бұрын
At the moment, no - only the 99 style.

@@DanDjurdjevicplus there are dozens of counters to a sudden push to the chest with both hands, which counter do you personally prefer? My teacher prefers a bagua monkey style defence and I have a wudang lifting arm defense.
@DanDjurdjevicplus3 жыл бұрын
The counter I like best is built into the 99 form movement preceding the push. It involves slipping your hands inside the push and sliding the pushing hands away to either side (from above or below, depending on where your hands start).

Beautiful school! I love all of the rope. Do you practice binding often?

Andrew Brown Do you mean yoga binding?
@circulationsolutions91496 жыл бұрын
Dan Djurdjevic Hello. I mean loop, control, and capture techniques using rope. So those ropes are for yoga?
@DanDjurdjevicplus6 жыл бұрын
Yes, although we also use them for our karate and internal arts techniques and general conditioning training.

Dan Djurdjevic Have you produced videos showing your conditioning?

@@DanDjurdjevicplus would a muk jong help with cloud hands practice?I know it's mostly for wing chun but for some reason I think it would help.

You said at 0:54 that cloud hands needed to be executed smoothly instead of in a broken "one-two" manner... yet for the entirety of this video the cloud hands is done in a "one-two" manner. Ok, not exactly "one-two"... but from my opinion, can definitely be even smoother and rounder. Aside from this, everything in this video is well spoken and nicely demonstrated. Especially 8:14. Very well said.

Well you've got me there. I demonstrate everything and I don't demonstrate it perfectly. But I'm open and honest - so I guess that's something. Thanks for the feedback.

Dan Djurdjevic I always demonstrate in a one two manner to break it down and then show it in a more fluent way as a one . :)

Why not just follow up with diagonal flying instead of an elbow?
@DanDjurdjevicplus7 жыл бұрын
dew12ozcan You can. I’m just following the form literally.
