I think this is the episode that won Sarah (Shiv) and Matthew (Tom) their awards. The fight was brutal but they needed to say their real feelings to each other. When Tom told Shiv that she was "broken" I found that to be the ultimate insult. Wow

What i love about "the clearing the air" scene is that it highlights how terrible and broken both shiv and Tom are. Tom probably loves shiv, but he also wants power and status and will do anything to reach his goals, like proposing to shiv when logan was in the hospital in s1 or humiliating himself during boar on the floor. Shiv, who feels like she needs to be no 1 and gain her father's approval but can't understand and accept sincerity because as a child she was taught to be ruthless and manipulative and to never trust anyone. Always trying to compete with her siblings, something that logan influenced her with all her life.

Take the deal? No way Team Ken all the way… this is what his dad would have wanted I’m not delusional, he literally underlined his name empathising that it should be Ken to succeed him! Think Ken can really do it but people just doubt him, had the moves in every season but execution was weak because every move required support from elsewhere and their belief in him just wasn’t as strong as his. One king one crown!
