@@Andrew-3445 its a completely different bike..the bike being reviewed is a mountain bike. you have a street commuter
@twincitiestaraКүн бұрын
Looks like the Wallke is not street-legal in Minnesota though, where Class 3 bikes are allowed on sidewalks, bike trails, or (unless you get a motorcycle license) even city streets. Too bad it lacks the feature of dialing it down to Class 1/2 the way the VanPowers bike does, as its long range would make the H9 a PERFECT commuter bike in almost every other way. (CORRECTION: I pulled up the manual, and it says you can limit the max speed to 20 MPH, essentially making it a Class 1/2 bike as long as you keep the limiter turned on. I'm pretty sure that's sufficient for MN laws, but I think I need to check with my local DMV before I seriously consider purchasing one.)

Shimano cues is a decent system with LinkGlide. I run a Shimano XL LinkGlide on my QueitKat Ibex. Have not chewed up a small gear since the install. Thicker metal with guides for the chain. Shifts a bit slower, but way more durable. Great to see this tech finally reaching the affordable e-bike world. I’m an avid bike rider and as I get older (I’m 53) and all the battle damage from my 30 years in the military start to show, I find myself riding my analog gravel bike (Canyon Grail CF SL) a lot less and have been doing weekly 85-112 mile rides on my QuiekKat Ibex with 1000 watt mid-drive and run around the neighborhood on my Avento Aventure. Your channel is truly very informative and entertaining. Keep up the great work!

Long-time listener, first-time commenter. LOVE your reviews. Fantastic production. Thorough reviews taking the bikes through a standard, qualitative and quantitative paces. Cause I am concerned that the PLA of the PRC wants a war with our US Navy etal, I want an electric bike that meets my niche desires AND has only inexpensive parts manufactured in China or by Chinese manufacturers. Yes, I realize that this is not easy. Lastly, as I am a Midwesterner and polyglot, your videos are excellent sources for folks wanting to learn American English. Your announciation and limited use of slang is ideal. While your videos do have a transcript, you got room for improvement by using closed captioning but only if 100% accurate to your speech.

Hey Matt, I recently found your channel while researching e-bikes, and I just have to say how much I appreciate the depth of information you provide. The fact that you’re based in L.A. makes your reviews even more valuable since I live in Mid-City myself and it gives me a realistic idea of how the bikes I’m considering would perform here. I’m currently looking to get a moped-style e-bike, and your videos have been incredibly helpful. I’m a bigger guy-6’3” and about 375 lbs-and I’ve been struggling to find a bike that will work for me. The ones I’m considering are the Motor Goat, the Meelod DK300Max, the Roll Road Emma 3.0, and the Qiolor Tiger Plus. The first two are great, but the Motor Goat feels a bit too pricey, and the DK300Max seems like it might be a tight fit for my height. I’m leaning heavily toward the Emma or the Tiger Plus especially the Tiger, but while there are plenty of reviews for the Emma, there’s almost nothing on the Tiger Plus. If you’ve ever tested the Tiger Plus or could give me your take on the latter two of the four options, it’d mean a lot. I’m looking for something reliable that can handle my size comfortably without sacrificing performance. Thanks again for all the great work you do-your videos have been a huge help in my search!

A five hour recharge will probably give you close to full charge, so 70-90 miles total on two charges if you are using the throttle liberally, perhaps more if you pedal lots

Love the total look of the bike but I only have 1 con and that's along with the excellent cable mgt. you won't be able to adjust the height of the handlebars . Myself, with my back problems , I have to modify 99% of every Ebike I own to a higher handlebar position. This bike would most definately make it way too $$$$$ & dificult to accomplish that.

I don't understand the affordable part. I'd say that's expensive, especially when it's usd. But I'm cheap, I like buying returned broken ones. You can usually get them for less than half and usually costs less than 200 to fix them. Other than that I enjoyed the review.

@garyderoy7 күн бұрын
It looks pretty and I really enjoy all your reviews, BUT, at $1499 I'd have to say the Ariel Rider Kepler is a much better deal. It has the same brakes, nice color display, adjustable handlebar height, 52V 20ah battery, and I've hit 41.8 mph on a flat with mine. It has a cadence sensor, but I like that. I know the Kepler has been around for 2 or 3 years and is somewhat forgotten now, but it still keeps up with most of the newer eBike models. 😉

Going to be less quality components. Those Tektro 4-piston brakes and Shimano Cues LinkGlide are some high level components for a bike of this price point. Could make the bike cheaper with less reliable components … been there and done that. I ended up spending more money to upgrade. I ride an average of 300 miles per week and run through cheap components fairly quick.
