I think the Hovsco HovRanger is just about the perfect city commuter style ebike because it's approachable while also powerful and easy to get on and off. The torque sensor makes pedaling this ebike intuitive and natural compared to cheap cadence sensors used on lower budget ebikes. Often times on of the biggest complaint's on ebikes is the ability to get on and off the bike, but the step thru frame variation of this bike solves that problem - however, there is a step over frame available as well.
The Hovsco HovRanger is basically a stronger hill climbing variation of the highly popular Aventon Level 2 electric bike at an even lower price (while on sale), but he Sutto motor used on the Hovsco ebikes is actually more "torque-y" than the bafang motor used on Aventon ebikes in my experience and better at climbing the 20% grade hill in my reviews.
The 15ah battery used on the hovsco hovranger is really the perfect size battery for this bike. With this 720Wh battery paired up to the torque sensor, this ebike will get big range while also keeping the weight of the bike in check so it's manageable to maneuver and will also handle well.

Im a 77 yo who lives on my sailboat in Marina del Rey. I hve been using the beach bike paths for the vast majority of my transportation needs for a few years. Im getting to the age where the boost of an ebike seems like a good idea and a step through frame would make hauling groceriess home a lot easier. Your reviews are filmed in my familar stomping grounds so its really easy for me to appreciate your tests for hill climbing ability It does seems strange to have the rider's eye view of the road ahead without a rear view mirror on the left.

I'd use it to get around to work, shopping, Physical Therapy, etc. I hate using the inefficient public transit out here. They weren't reliable before the pandemic and have gotten worse since then. Nowadays you're lucky if a bus or train even shows up within 1.5 hours of when it was scheduled to show! Who can use that to get to work on time? I've got an old knee injury that I'm going to PT for to work up to not having to use a folding walker and my knee brace anymore. An e-bike like this is easy to mount, dismount, recharge, bring inside, and most importantly would give me greater independence to get around. I'd be able to get out to enjoy the outdoors more for the cost of a little bump up in my power bill. Plus it will aid me on my journey to getting into and staying in shape.

Wow, this bike would be perfect. I would use this as a family bike, since it can support everyone and both colors are approved by everyone. And thr app let's you change class...that's handy for kids...and last but not least...it passed the hill test! Just in case you wondered if 500w is enough. The torque sensor is a big deal too. Anything that makes the pedaling more enjoyable will encourage exercise, which I need.

It would definitely help my time management. Especially after work and my walk up and down the slight mile long hill I live atop of. Last year, I was diagnosed with heart disease and everything has slowed to a crawl as I've been having a physically hard time. Excellent review (as always). I would use this bike everyday as this would be my primary form of transportation. I live in the DC area and have, unfortunately, not been successful landing work with my given skillset; and as a result, I have to depend on siblings to help out. Since I sold my car for a year ago and bought an used e-bike for 700 dollars, 250 w front wheel, I find it to weak cause I live in the mountains. I'm 58 and the reason I sold my car is that I wanted to do something for the enviroment. This bike would be nice, I'm a low earner so money doesn't come that easy. I live about 15 miles outside of a small town in Tennessee. The hills would kill me on a standard bike. An ebike would be perfect.

I would use the bike to get out of the house and whip myself into better shape. Embrace as well as appreciate the outdoors and is beautiful scenery.

I live in a community in the Poconos. A lot of up and down hills here. I'd love to use this E-Bike for riding around in our community. I have a Trek Carbon Fiber Road Bike and a Giant Mountain Bike, but my old legs are starting to struggle with all the hills. A boost from an E-Bike would be welcomed. PS I really appreciate your informative reviews!

I want this bike for my wife! I was just looking at it online. My bike is 48V 500watt so this seems like a great match but in step-thru bike that will work with my bike rack. I like the bottle cage mounts too.... most bikes do not have that on the downtube. *pick me!*

I would use it to help pull my physically disabled 18 year old in his Wike Special Needs bike trailer. I would also use it for myself to get back into better shape. I am pretty good with weights, I lift an 18 year old into and out of his wheelchair all the time but less great with doing aerobics.

I recently bought a 4" tire bike with the full frame used. I am 70 yrs old and have knee damaged from being bent behind me and sliding down steep hillside. that was 2008 but i never regained strength back due to tendon damage. The bike I bought has a weak battery that won't take full charge and the bike had been laid down bending brake lever parts(causing brake light to stick on) and broken headlight and cracked display, scuffing up some other stuff. I am 5'10" and weight 270, I have a fearful time getting on or off the bike. The bike went dead just as I turned right onto a steep grade, I was in top gear and couldn't pedal it and I tried to step off in the middle of the street and caught my pants crouch on the seat horn and almost fell over into a car. That was my second ride. I was always riding bikes years back and would ride 15 to 30 miles several times a week, daily when weather was good. i would like to have the E bike for assistance in trying to regain leg strength and improving my circulation. I also have a Trek Mountain but have the same problem getting on or off. I used to ride all the big hills my area, and there were some big one's. That is one beautiful color, and a step thru frame is what I need.

I've been searching for e-bikes that are made for two purposes: 1) Recreational fitness riding and 2) Long distance bike touring that can carry cargo up to 350lbs+

I’m moving to North Chicago to start my masters program. It’s a great suburb but groceries, jiu jitsu, and my church are all about 5 miles away from campus. I won’t have a car and I started off looking for eSkateboards, onewheels, ect because I’ve always been a skateboarder. Soon realize that they’re not gonna help me when the weather gets to 15 degrees and 4 inches of snow! 🤣 In the market for an e-bike now and I’ve binged all your videos! I am leaning toward Revv1 or EUYBike for the good looks and loads of power! I would love to hear recommendations or advice! Thanks

I would use it just to ride for fun and some exercise. I am in need of a step thru bike because of difficulty stepping over the other kind of bike. All of my friends my age already have an ebike, but I don't. I would really like to have one but they are all too expensive for me.

If I had this bike I would use this bike to get to and from work, do grocery shopping for myself and my clients (I'm a caregiver for disabled adults and elderly folks) and for fun.
