A thing I wanna say is that instead of canceling arm cannon, you can and SHOULD click anywhere instead if you have a good opportunity to do so, because it boosts you away from sonic. You can also purposely activate arm cannon and click anywhere for a boost in chase, but be careful doing so, because this can put you at a predictable spot

DO NOT, ALWAYS try to aim to exe, it doesnt matter if you miss, you have to try to practice your melee shots, if exe is way too close just shot fast, doesnt matter if you miss just shot, its not worth it trying to aim when exe is already in his range, you gotta use the shot, NEVER do what this guy said, that doesnt help neither makes you better, its just a waste and a tip to get worst

The boost is more like a knockback, in a straight line, sometimes it works, sometimes it sets you on a predicable path of doom

a little tip from me, a mobile player: if you try to shoot sonic when hes chasing you, you should wait the 2 seconds and then jump at the moment it is ready to fire because it could help you avoid AND shoot sonic. also it feels more easier to shoot sonic when doing this Edit: I wouldnt really recommend this to new players, but more tagged to advanced and good players

i will be honest, i do not main tails, but i tends to play him by accident cause i jump all over the place in the public, and something i realised about his arm cannon, the hitboxe isn't really the laser, but more the explosion when it hit something, so if you have the high ground or shoot sonic's feets, you be more lucky to hit him than going for the head

Tails has his ups and downs. I only ever use him when i feel like it, or when its the map hes used for to me. And yes, i agree with you. "Don't EVER use arm canon being chased by sonic.exe!" And you should only ever do this if you have to. Like for example, your glide is on cooldown, |edit: OR YOUR JUST A PRO WITH ARM CANON-|and your the last survivor left. Another thing is that he can get grabbed.

Btw in the updated version, Tails can actually Glide up. On mobile you have to hold the jump button while gliding, to go up. But it drains 2x of your energy, you can do this on other devices, but the holding the jump button won't work on other devices,

Pro tip only for xbox or mobile: jump until it hit 13 and hit sonic becuz sonic is in the bottom and you at the top hit sonic when you jump also if you late your jump you can avoid a hit Another one: pick up a red ring while using the glide it gives you a little boost

I Think the best thing to do in … is to go near a red ring (not to the point you touch it) and wait till sonic exe passes by then use arm canon. If he somehow notices you fly to a nearby pillar get to the 3rd set of stairs and hide behind a wall once he runs towards you jump and run my boi.

So a tip for dealing with the clones watch there movements cuz you can easily tell which one is real make sure I’d advise to use eggman or sally for the clones cuz a player could a lot of them and be one of them so just use eggman or sally.

They are even harder to hit the game developers purposely added delay to the arm cannon making it easy for exe to move laser second before it shoots😢😢😭😭😭(edit) also the hit box is just no I hit exe so many times but the hitbox is horrible you have to hit a direct I mean direct shot

yo, mobile player here even tho i don’t use tails as much as other characters, i’ve started to try him out some more and what i do when i try to land a shot with the arm cannon is, first find a spot that’s not too far but not too close to where sonic exe is currently running around or chasing someone (so that you can guarantee yourself some escape if he comes after you and also so it’s a bit easier to aim with not being too far) and at that point i use my left thumb to move the camera around (to aim) and then hover my right thumb over the shoot button (at this point you’re completely stationary because it’s practically impossible to move, aim and be ready to shoot all at the same time on mobile) i recommend, since it’s harder on mobile, you wanna make sure you have a relaxed and steady aim since it’s much easier to miss depending if you’re playing on a tablet or phone or whatever (i play on phone so i’m practically squinting half the time lmao) but ye by the time you’re actually aiming to hit him, it’s always helpful to sort of follow the direction he’s going and predict where he’ll be by the time you shoot. Also if he’s chasing someone, pay attention to the direction that person is running in so that when sonic changes direction to go after them, you have an idea of where you’ll shoot once he’s running in a straight line again surprisingly i’ve actually gotten a lot better at aiming with tails on mobile and have landed a lot of shots from afar even, so it’s definitely not impossible to use tails on mobile. bonus tip: idk if this was mentioned in the video bc i haven’t watched the whole thing yet, but when being actively chased by sonic, if you decide to use the arm cannon, don’t rely so much on accuracy with aiming- more or so a rough estimation of where sonic will be by the time you shoot. and by the time the arm cannon fully loads up, immediately shoot in whichever direction your camera is facing because- whether or not you land the shot, you’ll still be knocked back in a sort of “boost” to gain some quick short distance. This is also to prevent sonic hitting you close-up right when you start walking to shoot. (and yes i’ve actually managed to get shots in this way too- so it’s not complete bogus) Either that or cancel the shot before sonic jumps you lol. OH, one more thing. I used to do this a lot and still sometimes do it to land shots, but if you DO choose to move your character (tails) while hovering your thumb/whatever finger over the shoot button, I recommend aiming the camera in a spot where you predict the exe is going run into and then shoot. This does work too a lot of times. [sorry for the long paragraphs i just wanted to share what works for me in terms of aiming as tails on mobile]
