Hi, I think it may be too early for cherry blossoms at Tamsui. However, you can try to go Yangmingshan. Their cherry blossom season starts from mid February to mid March. 😇

Yes, it’s possible. Usually you would be able to see it on the second half of March. There is a Facebook page on the cherry blossom updates called 淡水天元宮花況報道. Although it is in Mandarin, they put in the dates of the blossoms.

Yes you can take 965 near Ximen station. Direct bus, no need to change 😅

Hi! We are going to Taipei on 6 March to 12 March. Will be seeing Cherry bloomson. I checked on Google map that from Taipei main station to Jiufen, it takes 6 hours by train. 😮 Just to confirm that.
