Don't try so hard to sing. Be restful in your voice not over demanding you be heard. Your voice is going to change several times in your life. But, by exercising it often you will find that easy to express your words. It will become effortless.

@@lindagoosen7488 it could be for any number of reasons... before you do a per- formance you should always do a sound- check to get feed- back on the audio levels and sound quality...taj tends to be a bit 'shouty' when he sings...which is not necessary for country-folksy type stuff...normal speech level is best...unless you're doing punk or heavy/stoner metal... in which case the ability to shout well tends to be a plus rather than a minus... as ever it's a case of horses for courses and musical trial and error in search of the 'perfect sound'. 👋😊
